For the the first time in millions of black children’s lives, they got to see themselves as both warrior and king. Your contribution to the culture was invaluable. You truly were the hero of an entire generation. Wakanda forever and ever and ever king. Rest easy.

a hero both on screen and in real life. his strength is unmeasurable, to battle colon cancer while starring in major movies is something i cannot even imagine doing, but he did it. he inspire so many people, especially the black community, who saw themselves in him, they saw their stories and histories be told by him. his craft allowed so many black people to feel loved, to feel empowered, to feel like they are being seen and heard. seeing yourself be represented on a big screen is one of the greatest joy a person can ever feel. his roles allowed young black kids, and even adults, to see themselves in a way they’ve never been able to see before. i hope he knew how much he impacted people. no amount of words can describe chadwick boseman, his will to make all these movies while battling one of the worst diseases in this world holds a power that only a few people have, but he did it all with a smile. he never let others know he was down, he made sure to make people happy because he really is a hero. you will never be forgotten, thank you for inspiring so many. you will always be a king.

I think we should also appreciate how he took the time out of his days to visit kids at the St. Jude hospital while still battling with his own cancer. He was a real life superhero to not only me but millions of people <3
