I’m sorry and I might be misinformed, but how is it their own land? All reports I’ve read have the pipeline built elsewhere.
Not excusing the alleged atrocities, but I’m legit confused as to the protests.
Apparently the pipeline is being build ABOVE (emphasis here), not in the reservation. They are bitching about the fact that they are worried it would burst, and contaminate the river it crosses… that flows into the reservation; ignoring the fact that pipelines are the safest route to go. It has gotten to the point that they are outright lying about instances of confrontation with the police, for example: saying that a person got hit with a concussion grenade disputed by reports IN THE SAME FUCKING TIME PERIOD OF PEOPLE ROLLING PROPANE TANKS MODIFIED AS EXPLOSIVES BLOWING UP PREMATURELY.
So fuck em

All of them We’re currently sitting on.. I forget the exact number, but it’s a fuck ton- of nuclear energy plants that were only designed to stay active for a decade or so and we’ve been using them since the 70s. The same worthless lack of proper long-term design ad upkeep goes into each and every one of these pipelines, and there will eventually be issues with all of them.
