Sul-Sul!

Synosim here, a little shaky, a lot excited.

I have been silently loving, admiring, and fawning, giggling, kicking my feet and screaming at everybody else's gameplay, stories, lookbooks, and sims for over ten years across a million different Tumblrs because I was never happy with my Tumblr name or the posts I made.

But no more! I am going to stick this one out. Learn how to Tumblr. And try to be brave enough to share my own Sims gameplay and engage more openly (instead of hiding in the hashtags where I hope nobody notices me).

I'm 23, a bookworm (obsessively, actually), a closet introvert, and while I would like to call myself creative, I don't get nearly enough time to work out that muscle.

My gameplay style is part rags-to-riches, part storyish, but I've been trying to be less deliberate and let the game do its crazy thing. My style is a definite work in progress but I'm generally maxis-mix.

How do you get your alien sims to match their human disguise? Mine are always random and I can’t figure out how to link them like vampires or mermaids. I really like how your alien sim has the same face in both forms so if possible please share how you do it?

oughhh i do it with mccc ill show how under cut

make the disguise first. so make a human guy and save it to ur library

restart game

go in game, place ur human sim in a save

turn them into an alien using mccc

click on ur sim whilst in the form u want to copy the human appearance to: mccc> mc CAS > paste tray sim > the sim you just saved

sometimes turning them into an alien with mccc alters the other form, but you can just change ur aliens form, paste tray sim again, then i just edit household in cas to tweak skin colour and alienize them!

New Simblr

Hiya! I'm kerry/kes (she/her) and i've been an avid simmer since I was a little girl playing the sims 2 and 3. Now I'm older and as much of a fan of the series now as I was then, so why not make a blog about something I love.

What I plan to post on this blog is mainly look books and gameplay. My current legacy is founded by the cutie above, Maya Wesley, who I will posting a lot more of. She loves gardening, fitness and animals :).

2k25 Juneteenth Simblr Cookout!

Lets celebrate Juneteenth and come together as a sims community. Whether you are MM or alpha. a sims newbie or sims veteran- YOU are invited to the cookout.

My name is essie/espresso. I use she/they pronouns and I am a 23yr old proud black lesbian. I've been obsessed with the sims since elementary school. I played the sims 3 religiously for the better part of my youth. In 2022 I discovered the infamous ashleyplays and my sims 4 obsession took off. I've been playing the game on and off since 2024 but I've recently really committed to creating a save file and experimenting with my sim style. Since discovering simblr, I have been very interested in machinima and sims 4 screenshot narratives. That is mainly what I aim to post on this blog, along with cas screenshots + townie makeovers.

Sims Story / Challenge Planner

I made this a while ago for other people to use to plan their Sims stories and challenges, and I figured I'd share it here too. Details below!

This is a much neater version of the document I use to plan out my story. It's designed so it can be altered or deleted according to your needs. It has a section for notes, misc notes, character planning, chapter planning, a box to 'store' helpful links, challenge / points tracker, a space to develop the plot, and more. You can get rid of what doesn't apply to you, and you can add more if needed. And it's me, so there's a few little jokey bits thrown in on the examples.

I hope this might come in helpful for some SimLit writers or challenge players! It might be a fun way to track your challenge progress in one place and keep notes on what happens to look back on later.

If you like developing characters, I also have a very long character interview here with tons of questions on developing characters. Again you don't need to answer all of them, but it might help get a few ideas going for fleshing out existing or new characters.

idk who needs to be told this but "you should eat vegetables regularly" is not diet industry propaganda. the reason you should eat vegetables isn't because they're low calorie or low fat or whatever, it's because they contain vitamins, minerals, dietary fiber, and a whole bunch of other shit that your body needs to live that isn't found in most other foods. you are an omnivore you need a varied diet!!!
