Animation has always seemed really intimidating and scary to me but I finally decided to give it a try! I’ve done a few gifs and pixel sprites before but nothing this elaborate. It’s definitely not perfect but I’m really proud of it and excited for more practice!

It took over 40 hours 😭 definitely more than that but I worked on so many canvases it was hard to keep track of it all. Hopefully it takes less time once I’ve got more experience because I’m still wiped out

So we know Stolas took one look at Blitz and said, “That one. That’s the one. That’s the one I want for the rest of my life. That one.”

Which, good for you king.

But for Blitz I think it was a much more drawn-out process. Blitz is very jaded after everything he’s survived. We see in the hallucination part of Truthseekers he is most himself around Stolas. He’s comfortable not having to play a part. He probably thought that this casual, transactional situationship would never become more to either of them, so as long as he stayed hot and good in bed, nothing else mattered. He could be mean, petty, unfunny, obsessive, weird, show all the sides of himself that are not perfect because there’s no risk involved. They’ll never turn into more. And Stolas responded positively every time.

I think little moments of Stolas being a genuinely kind person are what did Blitz in. His affection being unconditional. His acceptance of all of Blitz’s idiosyncrasies. His pure pride in Blitz’s unconventional business idea. And the nail in Blitz’s coffin was Stolas’ display of power in Truthseekers. When Blitz, for most likely the first time in his life, was the one being protected instead of doing the protecting.

I imagine Fizz had very little privacy during his time with Mammon. I imagine him sharing a dorm room with several other clowns, because Mammon is cheap. That's why he is excited about having his own room.

I think Fizz also is not used to being touched with consent. Fans grabbing him, Mammon's staff touching without asking. Just a lot of unwanted hands on him.

Despite being very famous and looking like Fizz had it all, I think Mammon took majority of his earnings and he had very little to use for himself. And that he was in severe debt to Mammon over the prosthetics.

Because Ozzie refers to Fizz as business partner, I imagine Fizz has much bigger role in Ozzie's company just than an MC. I think he is actually the manager of Ozzie's, handling events, special nights, performers etc. He knows how to put up a party!

The "Valentine's Day Gang Bang Night" outfit was definitely just for Ozzie. Fizz got tired of waiting and wanted to well and truly seduce Ozzie.

I do think that this moment in Truth Seekers is when Blitz fell in love. I don’t think he was consciously aware of it, but I think that is when it happened.

Do you think this is the moment he fell in love?

Okie, it's time to shitpost speculate a bit on my favorite moment in the whole show: the end of the Truth Seekers episode.

Do you think this was the first time Blitzø was protected? Taken care of? Saved?

Just look at how in awe he is, eyes wide open, jaw dropped. I doubt we've ever seen a face like this before or after. Of course, it might also have something to do with seeing Stolas in his true form for the first time. It was eerie and terrifying, but also sublime and exalting. Oddly attractive even, maybe?

This owl demon, with eldritch ancient powers and two dozen legions, was there just for him. Stopped in his tracks of whatever royal deeds he was attending to and came to stand up for Blitzø, to scare the shit out of his... well, fuckbuddy's (or not really?) perpetrators. Stolas watched after him, knew he was in trouble! So he... cared?

I am going to repeat my starting statement - he is not used to being worried about. Here, Moxxie clearly prioritizes Millie (no blame here, it's completely valid!), and helps Blitzø to get up only after the latter sarcastically sneered, "Oh, yeah, thanks, I am fine!"

And Loona, at least until the Queen Bee episode, which happens later, was very hesitant to show even a grain of affection toward Blitzø. We know she cares, but it's not always enough to just have it in mind and not demonstrate it.

And here is Stolas, caressing Blitzø, asking if he is alright, calling him 'darling' - another first in their relationship, at least on screen. Look how confused he is for a moment; he looks away and up (defensive? scared? annoyed?) - has he ever been asked things like that before? Notice how his face relaxes after Stolas strokes his forehead. Our guy is tough, no doubt, but I bet he just realized how nice it is when there's someone who cares.

Hell knows, these five seconds are a single thread holding my mental health together after the shitshow in the Full Moon and Apology Tour episodes.

Of course, there's the second part where Stolas tones down the grandiosity of his gesture. He scolds the crew for not being careful and jeopardizing him along with them, implying that the book exchange should remain a secret. Then he negates it himself - luckily for them, demon-obsessed lunatics are not taken seriously in the human world.

I don't think this changes anything. The first thing he did was to ask if Blitzø is okay. Only after he was reassured Blitzø is fine did he begin to rant, and even then his concern addressed both the crew letting themselves into trouble and his own safety. Again, why wouldn't it be valid? However I look at it, I don't think the book is his primary interest here.

And is this the first time we see Blitzø blushing?

This blush! I bet my life that Mister Blitzø 'boring-as-fuck-monogamy' Buckzo hasn't even internalized it yet, but oh, did his heart just do a big somersault.

Listen to my voice: This is the moment he fell, even though he didn't know it himself yet. Poor boy has a lot of work to do to unlearn his coping mechanisms and let his walls down.

P.S. Oh, I lied to you. There's a bonus "Blitzø just fell so hard" face in the Seeing Stars episode, haha. Apparently Stolas's human form is just as hot as his true demonic one lol.

Stolas has a very idealised perception of love. He thinks/knows it is the only thing that matters, the strongest force in the universe, the emotion he longs for the most and that he hopes one day he will have in his life. Love is pure, love is perfect, love is natural. He doesn't know that it is not always easy, especially for someone in his position. There are objectively walls and thorny situations that he cannot seem to understand or even see because of the romanticised idea that he has of love. He cannot get lost in his fantasies forever, he has to face the truth, he has to understand the reality of the world- he has to open his eyes

Blitzø has a very dooming perception of love. He thinks/knows it is something that can only bring pain, that it's never real, that will never last, especially when it comes to him. Love is a prison, love ruins things, love doesn't exist. He doesn't know that it can also be healing. That it can warm his soul, bring him joy, bring him peace. That he is deserving of it. He cannot keep on self-sabotaging himself and his relationships in order not to get hurt again. He has to take risks, he has to feel again, he has to trust again- he has to open his heart

They fit like pieces of a puzzle. They can help each other grow, they can help each other understand. They are what the other needs

In an age where everyone has to be perfect or they’re bad, or have pinnacle mental health or they’re toxic, or love themselves before they can be worthy of receiving love (ew), I think it’s radical that we have a show with two absolute freaks who are sticking it out together.

Blitzø is crass. He’s selfish. He’s impulsive. He’s stubborn. He shoots before he asks questions. He’s mean. And Stolas wants him anyway.

Stolas is an idiot, socially. He’s not self-aware. He has so much pride, no one’s allowed to even see his bandages. He’s needy. He’s cringe. He had no idea what the fuck boundaries are. He’s an addict. He internalized his father’s awful race/class opinions. And Blitz wants him anyway.

That to me is radical, queer love. Loving the mess and the jagged edges that don’t quite fit just right but with time and patience and care, they will.

This is my Hellaverse OC, Saint. He’s a transmasc apothecary in the Sloth ring who has just inherited his father’s pharmacy. He has always worked there, but now he has to run the business, too. It makes him stressed and depressed, but he loves helping people so he wouldn’t trade it for the world.

Saint is a reserved, pessimistic dreamer who likes to read (he loves stories about werewolves!), and who is very enthusiastic about drugs and chemistry.

I wanted to put his top surgery scars in white, but they didn’t really show while I was colouring. Overall happy with the drawing, but I’m in the process of commissioning an artist to draw him better. :)

Now I guess I just have to find an RP! :)

This is just a teensy little reminder that Apology Tour doesn’t happen the day after Full Moon. It doesn’t even happen a week after Full Moon. How do we know?

I present to you Blitz’s calendar from the Full Moon. If Apology Tour doesn’t happen until Halloween (October 31st), this calendar page is from a 30 day month. September would be the nearest calendar month to have 30 days, and would make the most sense, since there is a day for Moxxie on the tenth. We know from Truth Seekers in Season One that Moxxie is a Virgo. The 10th of September makes a perfect Virgo birthday. So, we can be sure that Blitz’s calendar is for September, making the date of the Full Moon to be September 29th.

That means that, by the time Apology Tour happens, Stolas and Blitz haven’t seen eachother for an entire month. They’ve both had a month to think about what’s happened. That makes their intentions and actions in Apology Tour more meditated, less spontaneous. That might actually mean something, based on how Blitz and Stolas were acting on Halloween morning towards one another.

Just thought I should point that out.
