Got any advice for making a slit for my stitch plush in a way it doesn’t tear a big hole? I don’t want the hole to be too noticeable if someone is in my room and sees my plush stitch

If you are doing it on a seam: use a seam ripper or small scissors to cut a couple threads, slowly pull out the threads from both ends until the slit is the desired size, and then tie the threads on both ends so they can't be pulled out further.

If you are doing it on a flat area of fabric, make a cut to the desired size (and assuming you have sewing supplies), sew a running stitch along the edges of the hole (this should reinforce it) (and could possibly work on areas with seams too). 

Depending on your plushie and where you typically have it resting, there's ways to hide the slit. For plushies with longer fur, you can brush the fur in a way that obscures it. If your plushie looks like it's sitting, the slit can be put on the bottom where, unless someone picks it up, it can be hidden. 

You may need to pull out a little bit of stuffing to make room (which is why I don't put holes personally + it irritates my skin) anyways happy plushie fucking :>
