Nebula New Girlgroup Teasers: What Do You Think?

NeGal’s new girlband is releasing video and image teasers, the trainee group Silver17 is finally out~ Their official debut name is Cherry Bomb, and they’re under Nebula Silver -- their first girlband since Jewel Box.

A total of six members will be revealed, and they seem quite young. A post on Naver made mentioned the official plans this far: “Their debut concept has been confirmed to be powerful with strong vocals and a bright, colorful concept that falls in line with the girl crush style. The teasers so far combine a comic book style with a videogame pixelated and glossy finish, a concept Nebula has dubbed ‘neo pop art’ and is symbolized how Cherry Bomb is rebooting the label’s established brand.”

There’s a lot of information on them out there, and you can practically see all members even before their teasers are all revealed, but it really seems they are doing girl crush for real this time. It must be the first since anti, right? I’m excited, but I still have to see how talented the members are~

Comparing a rookie to anti already just because they're girl crush, do you guys even have any sense ^^ anti existed before girl crush concept was popular, though~ they're more than just a stupid concept, just get their names out of your mouth if you know nothing, airheads ㅎㅎ

Oh~ The overexposed kids finally are debuting, congrats on wrapping up media play era!

My aunt is a middle school teacher, and she recognized the member in the ATLAS MV. She said she used to teach her class. She says she was a nice kid, so I'm anticipating~

Jewel Box competition, anti competition, everyone competition... So irritating! Can't you just appreciate a group on its own?

Halcyon Reveals Pre-Release Single Turquoise  The quartet solidifies a new summery style with their blue colors.

This sunday, Nebula Entertainment’s Black Label made a resounding push for the summer among many names from its sister labels. Although the boyband Halcyon was known for their trademark ballad sound that turned them into winter and spring favorites, they’re now bringing their warmer shades of blue to cool off the yearning hearts mid-July.

A teaser for their upcoming full length studio album, Turquoise is a slow tempo track that mixes blues and folk influences with modern pop to create an unique flavor that is very much in style with the group’s discography. 

Composed by the group’s leader with lyrics from all  members, the song’s theme is romantic solitude, touching on the frustration of being unable to find a significant other in a romance-filled season, ultimately likening the empty feeling to viewing the world in light blue. Rather than a beloved summer icon, the color turquoise is the object of a sarcastic anguish in Halcyon’s voices.

The accompanying music video released by Nebula Entertainment on the same day shows the group caught in a large light blue house standing by a completely empty beach, their shadows contrasted with the turquoise blue of the sky by the windows. As it progresses, the video becomes bluer until it’s completely taken over by the color, the last ten seconds delivering the song’s brief acapella outro by the off-screen band as the screen is painted a solid turquoise.

Once again, Halcyon proves their versatility and sensitivity that is likely to resonate well with the public among so many love songs playing in the radio this month. While the wait for 4:49, their upcoming full album, continues until July 12th, it’s safe to say the group has already successfully established their presence as the ever necessary breath of fresh air for this packed season.

Nebula Entertainment’s Low Training Standards?

I’ll just go ahead and say that my friend is a Nebula antifan. Personally, I normally don’t really care about her opinions, I like them just fine since they have catchy songs and pretty idols, but when she told me this, I had goosebumps!

Apparently, Nebula has a trend of debuting idols after only 1 or 2 years of training, some cases even just months... Eh?? How can the kids learn like this???? Nebula is known for only debuting pretty faces with little talent, shouldn’t they give them more time to train?

Here’s a few of the most shocking cases she told me about:

anti Kylie -- 2 years of training

Lola -- 1 year of training Though I guess she does alright since she is an artist, but still...

anti Bella -- 1 year of training

HEX Yoochul -- 5 months of training How can anyone train for this little time?? He should be on god level like that...

ATLAS Moon -- 4 months of training ㅋㅋㅋㅋ This has to be a joke, could he even be called a trainee? He probably didn’t even know the practice rooms when he debuted ㅋㅋ

Everyone, I’m not an antifan, but I’ll just say this: 

Nebula is a big company, but don’t fans of their groups think they debut idols way too early?

Jewel Box Makes An Electric Return With SURREAL Nation’s Girl Group releases two new singles with a strong image.

Hallyu leaders Jewel Box require no introduction. Heading into their eighth year of activity, the nation has seen the seven girls grow into dazzling women and collect impressive achievements, the most recent of which being their concert at Tokyo Dome in 2016.

This summer, Jewel Box returns to the charts with the release of their sixth full album, SURREAL.

The newest gem under their belt is so far the most daring image the ensemble has ever shown. The release entails a double title track with two different but complementing flavors of the group, their respective music videos echoing the girls’ statement.

The first video, for the eponymous track SURREAL, features the girls in a magical forrest, treating the audience to an array of bright neon colors and a hazy atmosphere that go hand in hand with the song’s EDM-infused beat and sultry vocals, as well as the intense choreography the members peform on a stand atop a water bed.

The second release, Candle Light, brings fans to a more familiar musical spectrum, a R&B ballad that, while reminiscent of Jewel Box’s Love’s Road days, certainly shows their growth and maturity. In the video, the members appear among glitzy crystals in long gowns tailored especially for the video. The dim lights shining on the members as they delive their lines gives the video an ethereal finish.

Regardless of which side they show, Jewel Box continues to impress the public eight years into their career. SURREAL will have its music show debut on MCountdown, on June 29, and Nebula Entertainment representatives promised a very memorable stage for fans, in which the group will perform the two title tracks along with the minor disco-inspired single 밤의 마법 (Night's Magic).
