[Ravnica Battlmap] Tin Street Market 32x56
Tin Street is a well-known business quarter and neighborhood that is considered the longest unbroken thoroughfare in the Tenth District, if not all of Ravnica. A straight, broad and ancient road, Tin Street has become a major byway for those traveling across the district, as it is intersected by several other major streets and has entrances to numerous side-roads and a thousand alleyways. Shops, restaurants, inns and entertainment venues of all sorts can be found along the length of Tin Street, and a steady watch is kept by patrolling wojeks, ledev guardians, Azorius hussars and the occasional Haazda volunteer.

I don't often post minis (or paint them on a commission basis), but this commission piece came out really, really well. It's not perfect, but I'm super happy with it, especially considering that there was NO airbrush involved.

Also, it looks like I used pearlescent paint on the wings, but I did not! They're 100% matte acrylics. I used metallics on the golds and silvers, but that's about it.
The wings use a method of single-brush wet blending where I followed these steps:
Lay down the white, bringing it up from the bottom just to about where I planned the transition to be.
Clean my brush
Lay down the blue, bringing it down from the top to just barely meeting the white.
Clean my brush
While both are still wet, use the clean brush to blend the two colors.
Adjust the transition by adding more white or blue as needed.
The important thing here is to have really wet paints so that they don't dry until after you've blended them.
My client for this mini offered me a quote for my portfolio, and I may start one up eventually, but for now I'll drop it here:
Lankira's paint job on my hysterically elaborate miniature was incredible. Several PAID AND PROFESSIONAL DUNGEON MASTERS refused to believe it was done by hand with brushes only, and passed Cradrol around to show him off. The player took second place in the costume contest....the mini took best in show.

Pinned post? Pinned post!
This blog is intended to be the repository for all things ttrpg that I'd usually post on my main blog @lankira.
I've been playing ttrpgs since 2002, and running them since a few months later. I like to think I've learned a thing or two in that time.
Over the last 20-something years, I've played and/or run the following:
13th Age
Aces & Eights
Albedo Anthropomorphic
Burning Wheel
Call of Cthulhu (Pulp)
D&D (3/3.5*, 4*, and 5*)
Dark Eye
FATE*
HarnMaster
Honey Heist**
Iron Kingdoms (d20/OGL, 2d6/2012 Standalone*, Unleashed*)
Kids on Bikes
Legend of the Five Rings (4th Edition)*
Long Rest */**
Masks
Orpheus/World of Darkness
Pathfinder (1 and 2)
Pendragon (6)
Savage Worlds
Shadowrun (4 and 5)
Star Wars (Fantasy Flight)
Starfinder
Thousand Year Old Vampire***
Traveler
Year Zero Engine (ALIEN*, Blade Runner*)
A single asterisk (*) denotes that I've run the system, two asterisks (**) indicate that it's a 1-page RPG, and three asterisks (***) indicate a solo or journaling RPG.
I have a running list of "shit I want to run". I also am in the process of getting a discord server ready for anyone interested in my online one-shots.
