Another older release by an artist named Jun Togawa (戸川純). With a vocal range that can go from childlike and demure to theatrical and operatic and an unconventional style that dabbles in the macabre one could arguably say she helped pave the way for other artists such as Kyary Pamyu Pamyu. A song laced with new wave inspired synths, a stinging continuous piano and really catchy chorus that consists of the lines

“KISS ME Like a punch as blood stains my lip! HOLD ME As my ribs are breaking! I love you so much! I love you so much! I love you so much! Say you love me or I’ll kill you!” One can easily see why. Here is 好き好き大好き (Suki-Suki-Daisuki)

live shots from jun togawa with vampillia’s 5 hour dommune valentines day livestream/performance! viewership was well over 7,000 (combined youtube/dommune website stream views) and included various talks with jun, vampillia and other guests about her works across 35 years. a preview for a PV for “watashi ga nakou hototogisu” was shown

the performance setlist was

怒濤の恋愛 / the surging waves of romance

蛹化の女 / pupating woman

12階の一番奥 / 12th floor, the room furthest down (jun started singing too early so they had to start again)

lilac (from vampillia’s album “the divine move”)

わたしが鳴こうホトトギス / i am going to sing like a cuckoo  

諦念プシガンガ / singing and dancing resignation (with vampillia’s mongo on backing vocals)

the performance ended with the crew cheering and excitedly shouting “jun-chan!”, followed by a DJ set by tentenko (formerly of BiS).

if anybody was able to record this, even just the performance, i’d love to watch it again and share it with others! a lot of western/american fans didn’t get to watch because of how early in the morning this was for us so i hope it can be viewed by many once again!
