God, when we first heard of the Lost Not-Roman Legon in the bodies of Raptors, I went "Oh wow I bet Brennan's not going to let these guys be as cool as their concept makes them sound." Friends, I was not ready for how strongly pitiable the Legio Rex ended up being.

Like make no mistake, these guys are bad guys, they're a threat because Jurassic Park taught a whole generation that intelligent raptors is a scary, scary thing. They're also deluded cosplayers that keep on tryng to be a cargo cult without actually being able to. They make wine that they can't pour easily, if at all, they keep armoring up with armor they can't maintain for shit, all the while never interacting in a meaningful way by the wonderous world they've come to inhabit. Of course their leader is a more-dead-than-alive T-Rex who probably hasn't been all there in the head for generations now. What else could it be?

Daisuke at the beginning: Cool and mysterious, but you can tell he cares a lot. Undeniable badass. Immediately starts eyeing the number of enemies before there even was a fight.
