Due to unforeseen circumstances I will have to probably change the name of one of my characters, specifically Elton, which sucks, majorly.

Alas it has given me chance to think on his name further and the story as a whole, which is great.

But the current contenders for the name replacement are: Edgard Eadmund Errol

I want it to fit his Scottish roots, but still be Anglo-Saxon vibing which is harder said than done I've found, I also want to keep the E starting name going.

Edgard is a great example for this, it's Anglo-Saxon and old English, which would work for the time period he's from, it also has the masculinity and uniqueness I am after for him. It would also sound great with his last name Hawksford.

Eadmund is similar in that sense, it's old English, Anglo-Saxon in roots. It can however be shortened into Ed, which could cause issues to those who are familiar with one of the origin characters Edwina/Edward.

Errol is Scottish, it has the short name I want for him, and I think it fits with the grumpy old man lmao, I can't explain why it just clicks with me as much as it does, but it just feels right? It gives me the same giddy feeling that the previous name has given me and when I write it, it just feels emotionally similar to Elton.

I shall think on it further but so far? Errol is kinda winning me over here

So since I am back to working on the story, I was going through the OG description of everything, and I was wondering if I should add the tropes for the RO's, and make the profiles a bit more, cohesive? Like actually write out eye colour, hair colour, body type, etc? I will take to my editor/bestie about it to snowball but I like the idea of it being more clear with who they are and what to expect from their romances. (Cause it sucks to get super far in a romance only to realise you aren't compatible with them)

So hi, I am back, or trying to get back, the funeral was rough, mostly because we were given the wrong time, and only made it to the final rites and urn lowering, it messed with my head a bit and im trying to get past it, but it still feels really shit ya know? To not only miss a funeral but show up after when everyone was there teary eyed and sad.

Inzoi Versions of the RO's

So I got Inzoi and have been messing about with the character creator, and I made the RO's. So I figured since I haven't drawn everyone, (and a lot of the drawn ones aren't necessarily canon...) I would use the Inzoi versions for now.. might be lame but eh

Small Life Update

So I haven't been able to get as much as I've liked done, and I think it's been due to some stress regarding a funeral coming up soon. It just always drains the very creativity from my core during these times, and writing just hasn't felt right if that makes sense.

But I am proud to say I am still working on it! Been trying to pace myself with playing some games and doing creative writing between that, mostly silly small prompt but also recently a bit,...,,.,.., more saucy...---.-.,..,,..,.,.,.,. prompts regarding the RO's. Though nothing I think I will share lmao, at least not yet Been thinking about the characters a lot too, not just the RO's but NPC's too, trying to not make super big changes yet, but I will see if I can make the profiles for the RO's more... polished, that seems like a more fun creative writing thing to do rn :)

Hello, I just want to say that I really loved the demo! I enjoyed it despite some of the errors, which is a testament to how great your writing is. I wish I could help with the coding issues you faced, but unfortunately, I don’t know much about that sort of thing. I hope this doesn’t discourage you because this game is truly a gem.

Heyaaa, i just read your demo. And at first i couldn't read it at all because i kept getting a pop up so i had to put my phone on desktop mode...but it was super small so i then switched the desktop mode off while in the game and yayyyy i could read it.

And I'm gonna be honest with you. I was not expecting much, BUT i truly enjoyed reading the demo. I liked the variations in the different backgrounds, tho I'm not sure if the poet one cuts off halfway because it kinda seemed that way. But anyway, i love the way you write. It did have some coding issues, but that's a given honesty. I'm never too fussed about that because every IF writer deals with those. Especially when you're new to this.

But the story was enjoyable, and i look forward to more, and it's so new to see a cast of ROs that aren't all late teens and early 20s, so that's nice too.

The poet origin should be complete but from my memory of it, it's the shortest of them all I think... I will see if I can fix that and make it longer!

As for the RO's, I prefer some type of realism with it, I wanted each of them to feel well rounded, and like they have experienced life. I also feel like it makes more sense to have older RO's, (if 27, 29 and 32 is even old lmao) regarding their talents. It doesn't make sense to me to have a 21 year old that's a demolition expert.

When I read IF I also prefer the RO's that are older, so it kinda just happened naturally when I wrote them xD

Hi! I wanted to ask, do all the ROs have monogamous routes as well, or is poly mandatory? While the option is wonderful to have, I'm personally not a fan of poly relationships. I hope this didn't come across as rude 😊

The ones stated with a poly route have their own separate route! Though Sigurd is a very flirty person so while they will be 100% committed to you in the story, they will originally come of as very very flirty towards M and The Boss!

So worry not! And sorry for a late answer! I hope this clears that up, I will see if I can make it clearer on the main post ! -Tons of joy from this Goblin headed your way anon!

Demo Update!

Okay so I fixed the bugs mentioned to me in messages! So thank your all for the help! I also changed the font and the colour to make the reading a bit easier.

Though I can't for the life of me figure out what causes the [tw-user-script-0] message, but it doesn't seem to be causing any issues? Knock on wood?

I've been using a template for the game and my only guess is that its a bit dated? But going over sugarcubes updates for the coding didn't help at all... :(

Second update!

Okay so, over the weeks as I have been writing I have realized some one the characters I don't super vibe with description wise, so I will be changing some, but I will label those as updated.

I think a large portion of that has to do with me not being straight/only finding few women attractive, so that has made it more difficult for me to visualise and hype myself up towards writing some of the characters (working on it for the sake of diversity)

And as I mentioned on my last post, I have been struggling to write the assassin part, it just has a lot of coding that I added for flavour. Like what type of assassin you can be (stealth, seduction, slaughter.) and that made me want to add that to every origin, but I realized-

I don't have to make it all be perfect for the original release. I am allowed to make small errors, or have things I wish to add. I just want to release the demo to get input and that's okay.

So consider the demo like a 1.0, its the OG, the untouched version. The less than sparkling new.

I can't wait to hear input on the current characters from the MC background and input in general!
