this has the same energy as the little, midwest gay bar I work at. Happens at least once a month.

(If you were part of the Kickstarter or supported me on Ko-Fi last month you may have already seen this.) I helped consult on and designed a spread for the Lay of 9 Worlds deck inspired by Norse mythology and everyday life back in 2019~ You can find information about and buy the deck here.
I wanted to provide an example of how tarot spread could address Norse divination concerns. The result is the diagram you see below: a nine-card Yggdrasil.
Cards are arranged like a tree. Starting from the top: 1, 6 2 7, 8 3 4 9, 5
Cards 1 through 5 represent Rattatosk's Path, and work as a sort of spread-within-a-spread:
1. Veðrfölnir: Bird's eye view of the spread, what the overall theme/message will be.
2. Verðandi: The Present - what is happening now.
3. What is distracting?
4. What is motivating?
5. Níðhoggr/Hvergelmir: What is simmering beneath the surface (of the reading/message)? What is gnawing at you?
Cards 6 through 9 show where you might go from there:
6. Urðr: Past/Fate/Ancestral Memory
7. Skuld: Future - What will be owed?
8. Urðarbrunnr: Potential - What can you learn?
9. Mímisbrunnr: Prowess - What will you learn?

In 1988, ACT UP protested the FDA withholding HIV treatment due to requiring unethical double-blind studies of medication they already knew worked.
In 2024, trans activists protested promoters of an NHS-funded report requiring unethical double-blind studies of medication they already knew worked.
