Resurgence: District 2
The Twins, Virgilia, and Ceres gathered around the four tubs filled with bluish-green liquid as two scientists hung around the back. They'd been waiting for an hour, because it apparently took quite a time to rebuild a dead body into a living one. Kardos was hoping to get a couple of good tributes to get District 2 on track. None of them really talked as they saw the first head pop up from beneath the surface.
"Marcellus!" Ceres cried as she helped her brother out from the goo. She'd been hoping it was him when they announced the Quell. Marcellus died in the 25th Quarter Quell by getting stabbed in the throat by Kate. Ceres had to watch in horror as he died while she lived on. She was glad to have him back and hopefully for good that time.
The next one out of their tub of resurgence was Quorra Fangrace. Kastos helped her out of her tub and handed her a slate colored robe. He felt bad for the girl. She was stabbed in her sleep in Game 36. She was a genuine front runner for that Game. She looked quite sullen, then furious. Kastos felt bad for her.
Sparrow Byrd angrily climbed out his basin with a few curse. Kardos couldn't help but let out a laugh as he slipped on the slate colored robe the Victor gave him. Kardos supposed if he would have been killed with a giant spike just when he was about to get some gifts, he'd be pretty pissed too. He was a pleasure to mentor in Game 38, Kardos thought.
The last tribute to slip out of their tub was Larah Alessia, who didn't seem upset at all, in fact, she was exuberant. After getting acid thrown on her, and being blown up by Quiver in the last Game, she was ready to try again, to make Virgilia proud. The Victor assigned her a robe and then joined the other Victors in explaining what happened to them.
