Okay, time to sound actually decently smart.
The way Anne Boleyn is perceived in media sometimes annoys and/or disgusts me. Maybe being a history nerd, and understanding all surrounding things of Ms. Boleyn, but she’s received so awfully in media.
For example to understand what I mean: The Tudors. Now, I adore The Tudors as a show, it’s a great show, but as the rest of media, it receives Boleyn badly. She didn’t intend to ruin a marriage between Catalina de Aragón, she actually looked up to Aragón. From when she was little, she wanted to go back to England—this was when she was in the French Court—and serve as a lady in waiting for her; and she did a little after she arrived back in England in 1522.
She was accompanied in a wedding for someone I can’t remember the name of, then she went to being a Lady in Waiting a little after her arrival back. She was still young, and with her beauty, she had the power to be desirable.
Already being married to Catalina for a while, and receiving no son that lived past infancy, Henry was getting bored and quite desperate for an heir. He needed a son, and Catalina being older, she was becoming less infertile. The Boleyn’s and Howard’s (both Anne’s parents and families) were known for their infertility. Anne’s sister, Mary, was approached first, but denied. Henry wanted Anne.
Now, Anne was already in a secret relationship with a different Henry: Henry Percy. They kept their relationship a secret, but was found not too long after an engagement. Woolsey immediately called it off, and Anne had to leave a relationship she loved.
Now, with the only path she had was to Henry. Her father, Thomas, wanted a higher royal status, and what was better than marrying the king? Anne promised Henry a son, which she strongly believed she was going to give. She encouraged a divorce amongst Catalina de Aragón and Henry, and helped the development of the Church of England.
Finally being able to marry Henry, their relationship was short lived compared to his previous marriage. Anne wasn’t able to give a son that lived past infant years either to Henry; Anne only conceived her daughter, Elizabeth I, named after her mother.
Getting desperate for an heir, though, he needed a way to remove Anne. It’s not as popularly spoken about, but Anne wasn’t trailed to death for her alleged adultery and/or witchcraft (where the 6 finger theory came about, as well as Anne’s fierce intelligence in politics, she argued her opinion; Henry didn’t appreciate this.), it was treason. Henry told the court that Anne was plotting a murder so she could marry another man. A plotted murder to the king? Now, that’ll make you lose your head.
Anne was sent to the Tower of London, becoming the first Queen of England to be executed by beheading. Another fact, Anne was beheaded with a sword rather than an axe as an “sign of respect.” The sword is much sharper, offering a cleaner slice.
The people of England didn’t take much care into the former queen’s death. They rather disliked Boleyn actually. She was pretty, but unpopular. Catalina de Aragón won over the people of England, and most believed she was still Queen, or at least deserved. Anne received a lot of backlash whenever she made endures into the public.
Okay, rant over. Enjoy Boleyn rant, yay!

for this next headcanon it comes from the fact that obviously the queens don't do the show forever (you know different cast and what not think of them as like og cast of SIX) and that i think while settling into the new world the queens got jobs (they take a break from these jobs to do the show but while coming up with the show they are still working) sooooooooo this headcanon is basically what jobs me and @eslamedianoche think the queens will have:
ok so for starters i think anne does stuff in marine biology and ik this sounds random (because it is) but i just think that at least one of the queens would be very interested in the new animal life bc i feel like that makes sense bc like you know a LOT has been discovered since when they died and i thought why not make anne the one thats really into newly discovered animals. i think this started early on when she was researching the new world after coming back and fell down a rabbit hole of all the types of marine life so yeah :p
next up is jane who i think would be a high school english teacher because idk i feel like she would like the idea of teaching kids but teaching younger than high school would remind her too much of the kid she never got to raise. as for the english teacher part i dont have a reason other than the fact that abby mueller's jane gives english teacher to me in a way i cant explain.
for Katheryn i think that she never loses her love for music and because of that i think she becomes a music tutor for kids of all ages as her way of making sure that kids have a safe place to play, learn, and love music because nobody did that for her and no kid should have something they love taken away from them. also some people who go through trauma as a kid they have a fear of become like those who traumatized them sooo Katheryn becoming a safe space for children is her reassurance that she'll never be like any of the men that traumatized her.
i already kind of went over cathy's job in the last posted but she's a writer and activist so basically her job is she writes books on activism and when she's not writing books her and anne work on research papers.
i couldn't figure out jobs for anna and catherine so these come from @eslamedianoche
for catherine she also goes into teaching she does both theater and history (her favorites being plays/shows made by women and teaching the history of religions and women history). she went into teaching because of the fact historically she was really supportive of women education so she would probably really like being a part of that.
and for anna she becomes a mechanic because she would probably like working with her hands and also she was "less lady like" compared to the rest of the queens that and musical anna gives off "i constantly upgrade and work on my car so its the shiniest and fastest car" like idk she gives car girly
feel free to leave comments other then that... thats all folks ;p

Here are some facts about Anne Boleyn, the second wife of Henry VIII, and the mother to the future Elizabeth I:
1. We don’t know exactly when she was born
Anne was born at the Boleyn family home of Blicking, Norfolk, but the precise year of her birth remains unknown thanks to gaps in parish records. Historians estimate it was somewhere between 1501 and 1507, making her 35 when she died. Anne and her two siblings, George and Mary, grew up at Hever Castle in Kent. The Boleyn family was a well-established favourite at Henry VIII’s court, and Anne had the most noble ancestry of all of Henry’s English-born wives.
Tumblr media
2. She spent most of her childhood abroad
As befitting a woman of her status, Anne received a comprehensive education in everything she was perceived to need to know: arithmetic, writing, reading, history, dancing, music, embroidery, hunting and riding amongst other skills. She was also fluent in English and French, and likely had some knowledge of Italian and Latin. By 1513, the twelve year old Anne had joined the court of Margaret of Austria, and in 1514, her father arranged for her to be a maid-of-honour to the new French queen, Mary, the youngest sister of Henry VIII, and later the court of Queen Claude. By the time she was summoned back to England in 1522, Anne had learnt the ways of the elegant, cultured French court, and her fashionable, alluring style and mannerisms set her apart from many of her contemporaries.
Tumblr media
3. Her family were embroiled in the politics of the Tudor court
Anne’s uncle was the Duke of Norfolk, one of the great nobles of the land. Her uncle and father were both Knights of the Garter and able soldiers. In 1522, Norfolk was made Lord Treasurer, and the family had ambitions. Thomas Howard, her uncle,  played a significant role in the political machinations surrounding Anne's rise to prominence and her subsequent fall from favor. While he initially supported Anne's marriage to King Henry VIII, he later opposed her, and he presided over her trial. Mary Boleyn, Anne’s older sister, was Henry VIII’s live-in lover from around 1520, and there were even rumors that her mother, Elizabeth Howard, had been a live-in lover, too. Having the ear of the king was important for family advancement, and the Boleyns had no hesitations about using their daughters to advance their prospects.
Tumblr media
4. Anne had no shortage of suitors
Tumblr media
Anne was summoned back to England in 1522 primarily because her family had arranged for her to marry James Butler, Earl of Ormond. This marriage was political: it was organised by Henry VIII himself in an attempt to solve disputes between the Boleyns and the Butlers about the earldom. The marriage fell through, and Anne became a lady-in-waiting to Queen Catherine instead.
Anne was also secretly plighted to Henry Percy, the son of the Earl of Northumberland – one of the most powerful nobles in England. The marriage would have been hugely advantageous for Anne, but Henry was already betrothed to Mary Talbot, an heiress of much more suitable status.
The young couple were found out by Thomas Wolsey, and with no support from their families, the match was forbidden. Anne was banished back to her family’s estates in Kent.
Tumblr media
5. She had a powerful charm
Contemporaries were divided on whether Anne could be considered beautiful, but she was certainly striking and elegant: tall, dark and sophisticated, with all the charm of a young woman raised in the French court. She was accomplished, witty and strong-willed, and the court was taken with her.
Tumblr media
Legends arose that Anne had six fingers and/or a large welt on her throat, both signs of her consorting with the devil according to popular superstitions. There remains no evidence that either of these things were the case: most likely they were invented by Catholic polemicists long after Anne was gone.
Tumblr media
6. She really did play a major role in Henry’s break with Rome
Henry could not get the Pope to agree to an annulment from his wife, Catherine of Aragon – mainly due to political pressures. Catherine was the aunt of the Holy Roman Emperor, one of the most powerful men in Europe: he would not take the insult of an annulment lightly. Catherine, as a devout Catholic, also was sure that their marriage was valid and legitimate: suggestions otherwise were simply wrong in her eyes.
As it became increasingly clear the Catholic Church would not grant Henry an annulment, Anne is believed to have encouraged Henry towards supposedly heretical literature. Certainly, it seems Anne was exposed to ideas around religious reform during her time in France, and had an interest in Martin Luther’s condemnation of the excesses of the Catholic Church.
Anne also told Henry she would not sleep with him until they were married: a powerful combination of longing, desire for living male heirs and Henry’s supposed ‘scruple of conscience’ lead to Henry demanding the clergy and Parliament agree to the 1534 Act of Supremacy and the Treasons Act. Both of these acts helped cement the authority of the Church of England, and allowed Anne to finally step into the role of Queen of England.
Tumblr media
7. Anne promised Henry an heir
Henry was desperate for a son and heir. His first wife Catherine had only had one child who survived past infancy, the Princess Mary – although she had given birth to several other children who died within a year of their birth. By the late 1520s it had become apparent Catherine would not have any more children.
Part of Anne’s allure was that she was considerably younger than the then Queen Catherine, and both the Howard and Boleyn families were known to be fertile. Anne told Henry she could give him a son (something she probably fully believed), and her role would only be cemented once she had done. Anne became pregnant very quickly, and was pregnant when they married and when she was crowned: she then gave birth to a girl, the Princess Elizabeth.
Tumblr media
8. She was never popular in her lifetime
Whilst Anne may have had a good deal of personal charm, she was not much liked by the wider population. Her predecessor, Queen Catherine, had won the hearts of the people, and Anne was very much seen as a usurper: she had several run-ins with mobs of angry women, and her coronation was not met with the jubilation and celebration normally expected.
Anne’s inability to produce the longed for son and heir further hurt her reputation, as did Henry’s increasingly tyrannical behaviour following the break with Rome. These may have not been Anne’s fault, but for an already unpopular queen, they eventually proved fatal.
Tumblr media
9. Anne’s allure eventually became her downfall
Everything that attracted Henry to Anne – her strong will, charm, and potential for giving him a male heir, eventually became her downfall.
She failed to give him an all important son, and her fiery temper and strong will were much more desirable qualities in a mistress than in a recipe for domestic bliss. Anne was jealous (she reportedly ripped a locket Henry had given Jane Seymour from her neck hard enough to cause cuts), and her lack of popularity at court meant she had few allies to turn to.  Anne’s relationship with Thomas Cromwell, Henry’s Chief Minister, had considerably soured by 1536. Many historians view him to be instrumental in engineering trumped-up charges against Anne in order to rid Henry of Anne and allow him to marry again.  Between late April and early May 1536, seven men were arrested and questioned about their relationship with the Queen: Mark Smeaton, Sir Henry Norris, Sir Francis Weston, Sir William Brereton, Sir Thomas Wyatt, Sir Richard Page and George Boleyn, Anne’s brother. Wyatt and Page were later released and acquitted.  Anne was arrested on May 2, 1536 and taken to the Tower. On May 15, 1536, Anne and her brother George were tried on charges of high treason in front of a jury of 27 of their peers. They were found unanimously guilty and sentenced to death.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
10. A noble way to go?
Tumblr media
Historians are divided on how Henry truly felt about Anne’s fate: he arranged at great expense for a French swordsman to come from Calais to handle the whole thing. Traditionally, being unalived by sword was more honorable and less likely to be botched.
However, he also got married to Jane Seymour the day after her execution, marrying her a mere 2 weeks later. Quite what this says about Henry’s feelings towards the woman he had just had tried on five counts of treason, and who he had pursued for nearly ten years, is hard to tell.
Tumblr media
Anne maintained her innocence throughout proceedings whilst also commending Henry as "a good, a gentle and sovereign lord."

Once the current cast departs here soon, you think the North American Tour of Six is going to be reconfigured into a non-equity tour? I’ve just been noticing that the stops they’re announcing are both at a lot of smaller cities/venues and for a shorter duration of time (some even as short as a two day stop), with larger cities like Chicago and LA
My guess is that they switch to full non-eq tour after the summer 2026 cast change, not 2025. Most of the 25-26 announcements are equity only theaters. But also most if not all of the longer stops are returns. I am guessing they had negotiated those returns but not scheduled them and were starting to reach out to noneq theaters. And then decided 25-26 would be the last equity year so they scheduled all those returns then. And to fill the gaps and make a workable tour route they offered to some noneq theaters to go there with the equity tour between those bigger stops.
At the moment the last thing they have announced is St. Paul in late June 2026 so around the time they started the break last year and are starting this year. St. Paul also happens to be the place where the original pre-broadway tour ended. It would be poetic for the Aragon tour to have started in Chicago where Six had its US premiere and the Boleyn tour to end in St. Paul where the pre broadway tour ended before making the jump to NYC.
And then take a short break before starting a brand new non-eq tour.
