Sometimes little pleasures in life are loadbearing. Whenever someone is like "If you'd just give up tea and coffee and sugar and--" im like I'll stop you right there. Because if you finish that sentence i am going to kill everyone in this building and then myself. If i have to face the horrors of the world without my little jar of caramel flavoured instant coffee i am going to go full American Psycho. Believe it or not, my main priority in life is not to have perfect teeth or be an Olympic athlete or look like a supermodel, but to actually enjoy living, because I spent far too long not doing that and it royally sucked. And boy, some people don't like hearing that. Particularly dentists

pretentious moment incoming but why is everyone's idea of fashion so fucking boring these days. why the fuck did my manager just ask me "what's with the scarf". "what's with the scarf" fuck man do I need a reason to wear a faggy little scarf now? you could just say "nice scarf man". what's with your attitude

sometimes i feel like i'm losing whatever i used to be between the endless scroll of 'style tips' and 'link in bio'
it's starting to bother me how skewed my ratio of media consumption:creation has become
when social media was easy i produced so much
so much writing so many insights so much reflection
it's not hard to write a text post. it's not hard to save my drafts and come back later. 20 drafts, 50 drafts, as easy to jump back into the thought as when i first made it.
now producing is hard. somehow we've gotten to this point where everyones content is supposed to be a Production. especially with the advent of UGC i just feel like theres no room for regular, plain, thoughts.
i find 90% of my effort going into the meta
not the value or the benefit for Myself but literally just like-- is this good for the algorithm? is this formatted right? are my first two slides a good enough hook? is it aesthetically pleasing and on brand enough??
it's so crazy because i even used to have a stronger brand, i used to do my own graphic design for my tumblr blogs. i was so good, if i was allowed to i would have really excelled in studying design i think. but i gave up on that, and i feel like i've lost that art too.
fuck, i used to do so much. and i kept up with it because there was a community. a creative bubble. thats popped. and now the real commodity isn't the value or thoughts it's attention. your attention. your screentime.
i used to tell myself when i was younger, stressed, 'these are going to be the days i miss when i'm older. when i have a job, when i have responsibilities and bills.' and i was right, i miss 2015. and i never would have imagined things would be the way they are now

5 Beginner “Luxury Woman” Tips
1. Think about yourself in the long term. Organic meals are costly, but you’ll rarely have doctor visits in 5 years.
2. Do not cheap out on underwear. Victoria’s Secret is not the only brand that exists. Don’t carry a $2,000 bag and be adjusting yourself because your underwear is too cheap & uncomfortable.
3. You need to upgrade everything you use. Your cosmetics, steak, bedsheets, soap. All of these things make a massive difference in your life. You might upgrade from NYX eyeliner to NARS. There’s a reason why you’re a luxury woman and not a woman who sometimes likes to treat herself to nice things.
4. You have to step out of your comfort zone. Unless you grew up like this, you’ll be very afraid to only buy high end items over your dependable, affordable items.
5. Become purposeful with where you put your money. Don’t buy 5 pairs of cheap heels and wonder why your feet still hurt. Buy a pair or 2 of very high quality heels that’ll last you. There’s absolutely no point in trying to stretch your dollar when you’re still searching for a solution.
