The other night husband and I were watching a documentary about the yeti where they were doing DNA analysis of samples of supposed yeti fur, and every one of them came back as bears.

Anyway, the next night we watched a thing about some pig man who is supposed to live in Vermont. People said it had claws and a pig nose but walked upright like a man. Now, I happen to know that sideshows used to shave bears and present them as pig men. So every piece of evidence they gave of this monster sounds to me like a bear with mange.

So now the running joke in our house is that everything is bears. Aliens? Bears. Loch Ness monster? Bear. Every cryptozoological mystery is just a very crafty bear.

Bears. They’re everywhere. Be wary. Anyone or anything could be a bear.

can we please please please learn to differentiate between things that are good but devalued because of their association with women (caring for children, being compassionate), things that are neutral but seen negatively because of their association with women (the colour pink, having long hair), and things that are bad but associated with women because of misogyny (being materialistic, being stupid) because otherwise we’re gonna keep getting takes like “being gender nonconforming is anti feminist” and “not studying for your classes is feminist”

my favorite way that possessive eddie shows up is when he just drops random buck lore in conversation. he is like buck is my best friend. i know him sooo well!! but it isn't even in a condescending way. it's just like yeah, this is MY special guy :) what do you want to know? what is his favorite day off activity? taking my son chris to the zoo. they have the place memorized! how long his heart stopped beating for? 3 minutes and 17 seconds, i counted every second until i restarted it :). oh you don't know the who's who of our found family? let me interject while he tells his story, so you can see how well i can finish his sentences. 😊 yay. oh he is spiraling? yeah, you gotta call me, his ~ platonic ~ bestie so i can talk him off a ledge. 😌 (<- secretly smiling like this) eddie diaz takes his role of buck understander VERYYYY seriously, and he lets the world know.

which is why i think it could have been SO FUN if natalia came back. because buck implied she saw him in a way that no one else did. and i think THAT could have really pushed eddie.... alas.... what could have been...
