Deven used to be an actor. Not any actor, but a movie star. During the late 80s and 90s, you could hear the name Deven Shaw everywhere: in movies, in entertainment news tv shows, in gossip magazines. All the teen boys wanted to be him and all the teen girls wanted to be with him.

The best friend of fellow actor and iconic heartthrob, Scott Case, Deven suffered more than anyone when Scott passed away in 2000. He disappeared from the public eye sometime after that, announcing his retirement and running off from Los Angeles to an unknown location, where no one could find him or knew who he used to be.

Almost 15 years passed until someone finally decided to find where Deven Shaw had been living all this time: Nadia Pérez, a screenwriter with hopes of Deven helping her with her most recent script. Because who would know more about Scott Case’s life and mysterious death than his best friend?

When Nadia finds him, he has become more reclusive than what she had expected and she has to practically beg him to help her, as Deven isn’t really interested in sharing stories from his youth, back when he was famous and Scott was still alive.

"You remember it behind your nostalgia-colored glasses. But the truth is, I didn't get along with those people after, what? The mid 90's?"
