"I mean, I'm all ears if you need," Beck said. "Though, I have to admit, I was a Mama's Boy before my Mom died, so I may be a little bit partial to opinions." Beck adored his mother, she taught him everything she knew, she was why he loved science. "But if I a little backstory too, I'll try my best to be pretty neutral with any advice. Or I can just be a sounding board."

Beck's reassurance flooded Kendall with a sense of affirmation. "Thank you, Beck," She responded, touched by his concern and support. "It means a lot. Life throws curveballs, but it doesn't ever mean that I won't be there for you too. With any friends that I have, I'm all about picking up where we left off, even if it's been ages because we were caught up with our own challenges. So, you know I've got your back too, no matter what." Kendall reassured with sincerity, her voice warm and comforting.

"Lavender tea sounds perfect, Beck, thank you," she answered him. "Just a little honey is fine for me, and if not, then sugar is fine too. With a sigh, Kendall began to open up about her worries regarding her mother, a topic she seldom broached with anyone besides Abel. "I've been stressing about my mom, I suppose," she confided, her voice tinged with a hint of vulnerability. "I never talk much about her, but I suppose it's no better time than now, since I've been having a few problems surrounding her as of lately."

"You're in time out for being a traitor and leaving," Katie teased back to him, rolling her eyes as he started his way out. "Talk to Goldie out there, she'll put them in the window display, and close the door behind you!"

Goldie lifted her head from the stack of vinyls she was putting on the floor at the mention of her name. She smiled at his question, bright and big, something classic everyone knew about her. "Depends," she replied. "How would you describe new? Because I feel like I'm not new new but like less than a year kind of gives new. Plus, I was here for a summer like years ago. We may have crossed paths at one point, it's Dex, right?"

"I'm just saying, Katie, I think having your former star employee's new album face out somewhere is a smart move. My face is too pretty to be hiding behind stacks of vinyls." Dex jokingly called back as he left the office and moved back into the record store. He'd entered the building in a flourish, waltzing around like he knew the place inside out, like anyone would coming back to visit an old job.

He'd been so adamant about finding his album and getting to (charmingly) badger Katie like he always did, that Dex didn't even notice the new employee working. It wasn't until he was in the middle of sifting through a row of vinyls that he looked up and saw her sorting nearby. Something stirred in the back of his brain, like he knew her somehow. Wouldn't be the first time. "Hey," He greeted her happily, "Are you new here?"

"Come on, I need to live vicariously through you, Miles is always so busy during football season and I don't go to another game until the fifteenth," Ellie said, pouting lightly, mostly just to piss him off a little more. What was the point of being the younger sister if not to get under your sibling's skin every once in a while. Besides, she was curious and it was better to talk about this than sitting in silence the entire drive.

She swung into the parking lot of the café, running in to grab two large coffees for them. When she got back in, she handed him the caramel flavored drink, "Where do you even get coffee like this since you got banned? I feel like they have the best coffee here," she said as she pulled back onto the road.

Patrick sighed loudly to indicate his annoyance. "Ellie, please." Why had he told her it was a hookup? Usually he could lie effortlessly, but somehow she wormed that detail out of him. Now she looked like she just found a Christmas present early, eyes bright with devious curiosity. He wondered if getting his wallet back was worth it, or if he should just cut his losses and go back home. "I already told you I would give you the cash I had once we got it back," he grumbled, staring out the window. "Go to the place I'm banned from, get me something with caramel."

"If I'm driving you outside of New Athens, twenty minutes away, we can at least stop for coffee," she said to her brother as they started their way through the roads of New Athens heading out somewhere after Pat had asked her to drive him to some hook ups house. "Besides, I bet you'll need it, because I want to at least know all the juicy details about this hook up since you managed to leave your wallet there. Take it as price for driving you, and also buying you coffee considering you can't buy it yourself at this current moment."

"Oh, sorry, I can... uh... come back if you want?" Kerri said. "But, is there anything I can do to help?" Kerri thought Pierce seemed stressed, she knew how much pressure he tended to put on himself, it always hurt her to see him like this. "I mean, I'm pretty good at a lot of thing, and I can see if I can work it around work and stuff."

Pierce was typing on his phone, smiling slightly, and then he sends the message. He focused back on whoever was in the room with him and said, "Sorry, what did you say?" He asked because his attention had been temporarily pulled from the conversation to another. "If you're asking for a favor, my schedule is kind of booked right now." He explained, not knowing what the other had even said but figured this was a good reply to cover his bases for not being present.

"It's just me, I brought some strawberries," Marigold said holding up the small basket of berries. "Don't tell Mom and Dad, but they kind of do strawberries better here, but I think that might have to do with the help from the Demeter and Dionysus kids. Maybe we can see if Bear can spruce up our berries or something, or get him out here and have the other Demeter kids teach him more."

River knelt in the woods, the shrine he made for Pan adorned with offerings of a few drachma, mulberry wine, and a simple cake covered in honey and sugar. The air was thick with the scent of earth and summer air as he whispered his reverence. Suddenly, a rustling sound behind him broke the silence. He rised from his knees quickly and turned around in a fluid motion. "Who's there?" he called out, his voice steady to hide his nerves.

"Hey," he said, smiling when he saw her. "I was actually going to come find you." Keaton gave her a gentle kiss when she met up with him. "See if you wanted to get some ice cream."

Camira rushed after someone, her footsteps light and quick as she closed the distance. "Hey, where are you going? Can I come with you?" she asked happily. Without waiting for a reply, she hooked her arm with theirs, her eyes sparkling with anticipation as she tried to make the idea of her joining irresistible.

"Probably have more nymphs coming for your head," Elias replied, with a small reassuring smile. "You're still trying to figure out the extent of your powers, and you can't really ask anyone, unless we go and find Hephaestus or something. I don't know what I'd do without Zoe to help me out. Even with Zoe's help, I sometimes can't control my hydrokinesis."

Mikey and Elias found themselves seated on the wooden swinging chair behind the Poseidon cabin as they swayed gently back and forth. The late afternoon sun cast dappled shadows through the leaves overhead. As they rocked, the air around them seemed to carry an unspoken tension, a weighty anticipation of the conversation they were about to have. Mikey could feel the gravity of the topic lingering between them, the memory of the recent forest fire casting a slightly anxious feeling inside of him despite the otherwise tranquil surroundings. With a shared glance, Mikey delved in, "I know that I already said thank you before, but I really am glad that you showed up when you did when I was out in the forest doing my pyro-training," He thanked Elias, continuing on, "I don't know what I would have done without you." "What do you like in your tea?" Beck asked to Kendall, when the kettle started to squeal to signal that it was ready. "You said you wanted some lavender tea, right? If not, I think that just may be me picking up on your stress honestly. I know I haven't been the best friend as of late, but you seem pretty out of sorts for you lately."

Teddy raised his eyebrows at her, “Front row seat? You’re not going to put me in the passenger seat of the car you’d race are you?” he asked with a laugh.”I’m not sure what I should think from that look of yours.”

“Hmm…I’ll think about it. I guess your friend will need the help. The consolation, really. Because that reputation? It speaks for itself.” Faust tossed some curls over her shoulder, admiring Teddy’s smile. Someone had pulled up with bass thumping from their speakers and she had to yell to be heard over the music. “I have an idea! What if you had a front-row seat to the race?” The look on her face was pure mischief.

Jocelyn nodded, “Yeah, she’s really cool, and super nice too. You’d probably like her, most people do,” Joss answered. “Nope, we’re both wind nymphs. Why? Would that have bothered you...?” she asked.

“Cami, your roommate— she’s the one in the pictures?” Wes had seen a few small Polaroids stuck on the wall with colorful tape. Something about the other girl in the photos had struck a chord in his memory, just as something about Joss did. He ignored her clear teasing about the food and pushed on. “Are you both demigods? Or something…else? I don’t think it crossed my mind while we were…ahem, occupied,” he finished with a sheepish grin.

"It's Cyrus, of course he probably stole something from you. You you made a stereotypical Hermes spawn and put it into someone, it would be Cyrus," Felicity replied with a roll of her eyes. "We all have our faults, Belasco. He is good in bed though."

Diego hummed slightly at Fizz’s comment. “Cyrus, huh?” he mused. “Well, let’s just say we’ve had our moments. I’m almost certain he stole something from me once, but we’ll leave that in the past,” he quipped with a playful grin as he tried to move onto the next topic of conversation.

Fizz’s laughter also earned a boisterous response from Diego. “Alright, I promise I won’t get sappy on you any longer. That’s all you get, anyways.” he said with an amused grin, appreciating the camaraderie that he shared with Fizz.
