Knights of the Frozen Throne
Welcome back! As you guys may or may not know, the Knights of the Frozen Throne expansion for Hearthstone has been around for just over a week now and I've had a chance to play. So hopefully in this post I'll be able to share some new and exciting things you may not have known!
So to get started, the Knights of the Frozen Throne is the 6th addon for Hearthstone that Blizzard have released. It's a follow on from the original story, and features a story mode that's purely offline for new comers to understand the lore of Hearthstone better. I have to admit I don't fully understand the lore of hearthstone myself, I find it quite difficult to understand all of the parts. It might not help I usually play Hearthstone at night when I'm tired, maybe I should stop doing that.
I've also been looking online for some helpful resources, to make this post a master guide for you to use. The only good example I could find is here which will give you a nice introduction to Knights of the Frozen Throne or KotFT for short. I recommend this expansion for even casual players, it's a nice addon of the story and along with the story mode, which I hope will have more featurea added on with later expansions, is really great in my opinion. I felt as though Hearthstone was becoming quite repetitive, and it's like most games that is hard to build on top of once it's come established due to people becoming familiar with the way it's already working.
As you may know too, there are 136 new cards introduced in the game. You can get some free packs from tutorial island as well if you preordered the expansion. I didn't recieve any in game notices about this, so it's worth following the free pack offer up if you did preorder. You can find this by speaking to an NPC standing next to the gate at tutorial island, and after a short conversation you can recieve the packs. I am led to believe you will be guaranteed 5 legendary cards out of the 50 packs, however this is unconfirmed. I plan to use my free packs in a few days when I have some free time, so I will confirm then if this is true.

Hearthstone Beginner Guide
This guide is aimed at players who are new or inexperienced, therefore I'll go into detail about the "Standard" card set instead of "Wild". This won't have any effect on you, but there are two main ways to play Hearthstone:
Standard: This is best for new players, as they can learn the game without too complicated mechanics. You can eventually build up to Wild after you have got a good understanding of the game.
Wild: This includes every card in the game that's ever been created. You don't get anything extra for playing Wild, and it's more expensive to get into. In my experience, it can make the game more interesting, as Standard mode gets repetitive compared to Wild as it's more of a challenge.
When you first start the game, there are several quests you can do to obtain gold, and unlock new areas. I recommend you do these in this order, as it makes most sense and is easier to complete.
Tutorial: Of course you need to complete the tutorial first, by beating it with "Jaina Proudmore" which is straightforward. When you complete this, you get 1 card pack.
Unlock all Heroes: Beat all 8 AI heroies to unlock. I took "Mage" and completed this with no problems, upon completing you get 200g, "Level Up" and "Ready to Go".
Beat the Expert AI: After beating all 8 "normal" AI opponents, Expert AI gets unlocked. They have better cards than the standard AI, but you want to beat them at least once for the achievement. Keep grinding until you beat them all or get to level 10. If you get to level 10 before beating them, switch heroes and start leveling another class. Once completed, you get "Crushed them All" and 100g.
Leveling up: Now you should have beaten the Expert Ai and have one or two classes to level 10. Once you have done this, don't waste any more time beating AI. Go straight into "Play Mode" and start trying to beat real players in a PvP match. You get more xp by playing with real people, and 10 gold every 3 wins. Keep playing until all classes are level 10. For this, your rewards are: "First Blood" - 1 Card Pack, "The Duelist" - 100g, "Got the Basics!" 100g.
Tavern Brawl: This requires one hero to be at least level 20. This is a weekly event that begins on Wednesday (If you're in Asia, this is Thursday) and ends the following Monday. It has a special set of unique rules that change on a weekly basis, and winning once will give you a free classic pack each week you participate. If you're struggling on this deck, building ones using Hearthpwn's advanced search will give you options to pick from - I use this method and highly recommend it.
As this guide is in multiple parts (due to it's size) I will release each new section in parts to make sure you're following along. If you have any questions, feel free to let me know in the comments and I'll fill you in on anything you're missing.
