I belive that only after you have experienced the insanity that is the yugioh manga+ subbed DSOD can you understand why the phrase "you can never quit yugioh you just take long breaks" exists. That manga will implant brainrot into your body no other franchise can.

It was torture and straight up brainwashing. Seto is just what his father wanted him to be pre duel monster era. He is just as cruel and heartless as he was. Which is why I think his relationship with Atem is so important. He finds a new authority figure that shows him a different way. And it makes him a better person.
