Lady Sheaffer Time!

This is a Lady Sheaffer long clip pen, which is the transitional design between the clipless Skripsert pens of the 1960s and the more practical Stylpoint pens of the 70s. Like the 70s pens, it's big enough to take the Sheaffer squeeze converter.

And gosh do I love that shade of red! The finish is XIV Red and Gold Tulle. It's a bit chipped and bubbled in places, but overall still looks sleek.

It has a silver-palladium Triumph nib. It's a stiff and pleasant medium with a bit of feedback. Not sure what caused the discoloration on the section. Could be the age of the plastic.

So far this is my only long clip Lady, and I like it quite a lot.

finished the baby blanket before the baby popped out! Actually used a pattern for once Depending on how dry it is, I might send it home with my neice to deliver to my sis later today, or deliver tomorrow. Really happy with how it came out, still have a LOT of the red so might work on something I can match with it, either something for my sis to wear or maybe a plushie?

okay, finished the uma musume anime, quick thoughts:

easily the second season is the best. All of the seasons have their fun cast of characters but the second season hit it out of the park when it came to characters imo. Yes, they spend their time building the two main characters and their dynamic together, plus with their team and trainer, but side characters were given plenty of space to breathe and really feel like their own thing, like there is an anime in a parallel dimension where they are the main character instead.

Best example is Rice Shower and the time spent with her. Most of the characters express joy when facing the crowd and achieving a win. But when she won and instead being faced with so much disappointment? heart breaking, and seeing how that fucks her up for so long, to the point where she doesn't want to race when she clearly deserves it feels so... down to earth I guess. And it feels great she puts in the work and fucking locks in, scaring one of our mc's and fucking demolishing them

And the main story is just great in general. Idk if this sounds weird but I loved watching them being knocked down. Teio first writing out and pining up her goal of being an undefeated triple crown horse girl, and seeing that slowly being whittled down to simply "run in this race" by the end of the season was fantastic, especially seeing her give her all to each goal every time. And by the end, although yeah I loved all of the girls they highlighted, but you really are rooting for her to win because you genuinely want that for her.

And yeah, the other seasons were fun too, but tbh they just didn't sell it as well as the second season. Idk what exactly it is, maybe the second season just had better drama throughout the entire runthough, or handled the side characters better, or something else.

the 3d animation did draw me out a couple of times, but imo it isn't so bad as to ruin the show, just gave me the occasional chuckle. Also the third season excelled at, and I know this may sound weird, but just letting the characters pull ugly faces when running. It sold the struggle and effort they were putting in fantastically, kinda want to know if they used any actual race photos/videos to reference but I have done 0 research into production so idk. First season was fine, definitely a lot of fun to see the world building an the type of accommodations put into place for the horsegirls. The novelty of the whole thing was what kept me watching, though maybe my opinion will change with a second watch through, and that's not happening until I convince my sister to let me show this to her kids. Third season was also fine, but tbh just isnt as good. Like, the mc not running as well before because she's.... past her peak. doesn't hit the mark for me. not like fracturing your leg 3 times. Like yeeeeah you won your last race......... but I think chavel deserved it more. and I just could not cheer for her like the other girls

I've got more thoughts, but this is good for now. Game is fun, but I'm starting to approach that annoying wall that gacha games have where you either need to grind or pay money. And although I love haru I refuse to spend money on gacha games. Might draw a couple goofy things but idk. Also it's very gay

had a dream last night where I had a chicken and was trying to show off the egg it laid to my brother, but he just. insulted the quality of the egg. how he could get a better one at the store

I dont even like chickens they scare me, but gotdamn I was so mad that my chicken was being insulted like this. She's doing her best
