I'd like to talk about how much I enjoy the parallel between the Third and Twelfth Doctors.

They're both some of the only Doctors to have their hair grow out a significant amount during the series, which is quite interesting to me because they both also spend quite a lot of time on Earth and are both very involved in UNIT affairs.

They're both extremely lonely and cut off from Gallifrey and everyone they love. Three was exiled to Earth whilst Twelve travels back to Gallifrey and is treated as some sort of outsider. Twelve's loneliness comes from everyone around him dying and Three's comes from pushing everyone away. Twelve tries so hard to hold onto people, and Three is scared to hold on because he knows how easily the people he loves can be ripped away from him.

The both of them seem to have a relationship with The Master that isn't quite "oh I hate you! My enemy!!!". Missy is more redeemed than Delgado's Master, but the two of them have a deep caring for The Doctor's wellbeing and have been shown to save him in deadly situations.

Three is the one to really build up a relationship with The Brigadier, and Twelve is the one that sees what happens to him and finally gets to say goodbye.
