If there ever was a true story with true answers we don’t have it anymore. It’s just whatever comes to mind
This interview is mainly about the new Jungle Cruise movie (which I’ve seen and enjoyed) but John Davis and John Fox are also two of the Executive Producers of The Blacklist and at the end (around 30:10 in the video) the interviewer asked them how long The Blacklist could continue on NBC in light of the major cast change in the S8 finale and whether the show is year to year now that contracts need to be redone.
John Davis:  It’s year to year but it could go for many more years.
Joh Fox: Listen, James would keep doing it forever. He’s made that clear. He’ll keep doing it forever. He loves the character, loves just digging in to his - his world. And the show runner, John Eisendrath, he’d continue doing it forever as well so if we’re lucky enough to get NBC to continue saying yes, why not? Why not?

Again another post that is not wrong
Bubble Girl is Confirmed as Jennifer Reddington
In response to @bonescastlefan ‘s comment: The girl from the blown up house wasn’t Jennifer though was she. She was our RR daughter
Here are the pictures from Frederick Barnes:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
These are the picture they showed us when Katarina was describing watching Jennifer:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
That is the Tacoma Park house. They even had Raymond shooting the film Red restores in The Front:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
As a reminder, him watching the film was completely private.
Even if you want to argue that everything Red does in Fredrick Barnes from ripping up the wall panel to look at the hidden growth chart:
Tumblr media
To fondly and then despondently remising about Jennifer Reddington:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
To saying he raised his family in the house, that he spends every day of his life trying to forget what happened there, and finally blowing up the house, was an elaborate performance for Luli’s benefit, you can’t argue about the film strip.
No one was watching. Katarina has no reason to spend her free time restoring footage of a girl she babysat once back in the day. She has no reason to fondly gaze at her lover’s child, whose life she destroyed.
If they go through with the Rederina BULLSHIT they seem to be leading us to they will be in direct conflict with the earliest mythology clues.

Ok I had to repost these questions are really good questions and the same reason I can’t get fully onboard with Rederina. I just don’t see any other direction the writers are going and unless they can explain these questions or problems above then it will be a complete waste of 8 years
They’re Better Not Go There!!!
*BLACKLIST SPOILERS*
They’re really doing it aren’t they? They are really going to make Red Katarina and pretend that makes sense. The voice and image overlay. The bubble girl house in the flashback. The insistence the real Raymond is dead. The parallel shots of child Katarina and the re-made Red. The everything about you is a lie callback.
 NO! NO! NO!
1) Katarina was in Bubble Girl’s house, but that was not the correct emotional response. Red was fond and nostalgic about bubble girl. He ripped the panel off to see the height chart. He blew up the house because he was haunted by what happened there. Nothing traumatic happened to Katarina in that house. She was not fond of Jennifer, nor interested in her growth. She did not “raise her family” in that house (Fredrick Barnes). She would not spend her free time restoring and then privately viewing a film strip of her lover’s child whose life she destroyed (The Front).
2) The “You will always be her father Sam” speech implying Sam might have reason to think Red will usurp his title (General Ludd). Red already had a title, so why would Sam fear Red wanted to be Father as well.
3) The ballet performance of the girl dancing Swan Lake (Mako Tanida). The girl was too old to be Liz. This seems to be completely missing from this story.
4) Diane Fowler’s “truth about ‘your family’ would also be for naught (The Cyprus Agency). This truth that Red wants to know “more than anything”.
5) There is no way Katarina cares enough about Naomi/Carla to die for her. They didn’t have a relationship. Witsec happened right after Raymond was a fugitive. Raymond was a fugitive before he died and the swap was made. What deal could they have in place if they never met? Why would Kaplan call Naomi Katarina’s wife? Also how in the scenario they gave us was Naomi/Carla able to identify Agent Elizabeth Keen after 25 years?
6) Red’s “relatively normal life” he describes to Liz in 2x09. Katarina’s life was never relatively normal. Ever.
7) Red’s don’t lie policy when in 3x01 he says he’s not sure what happened to Katarina. Split sense of identity is one thing with metaphorically “death” as is sometimes acceptable. “I don’t know” however, is a bald-faced lie if Katarina and Red are the same person.
8) Cape May. He apologizes to himself? Choosing to save the child over himself was that hardest choice he’s had to make rather than killing Sam? He harangues himself for fake attempting suicide?
9) Visits with Dom. Dom said Red made choices for Katarina, and then Masha. Dom said Red killed his entire family. Red wanted hints on how to survive the loss of a daughter. Red was nostalgic about Katarina and glitter. Dom said he had no right to go through her things.
10) Kaplan thought Liz would turn against Red if she found out he was her mother, not her father? Doesn’t sound like Liz to me. Also Kaplan apologizes to the K in Tanzi Farms which has to stand for Katarina. So while she is dedicated to destroying Red, she’s also apologizing to him?
11) Dembe’s not sure Liz will ever be ready to hear what Red “did to her mother.” Really, he wouldn’t think Liz was be okay learning her Mother was alive and in her life?
12) There were no burns on Katarina’s back in Requiem. There are major burns on Red’s back.
I swear if they go Rederina I will scream. It’s that simple.

A small change and 8.22 would have been so much better:
This may have been the ending that was written before Megan Boone decided to leave and NBC shut down any of what Bokenkamp wanted to reveal to us in fear that no one would tune in for Season 9
Liz is standing on the sidewalk, saying she can’t kill Red. The shooter, Townsends man, steps out into the open and aims at Liz. Red steps in front of Liz and takes the fatal bullet. Red has saved Liz’s life. Liz empties her gun into Townsends man - he is dead. Later Liz takes out the letter from Katarina, opens it and reads it and reveals the secret to us.
Series over - I myself would be much happier

This does make total sense now especially why Bokenkamp left. I think NBC backed the wrong pony (I’m from Kentucky the home of the Derby so I can use that analogy) I think NBC underestimated the true fans resolve to not be treated like just numbers. I’m sure our numbers can find another show to get behind. Until then I will watch the good seasons of the Blacklist and reminisce. Too what could have been

Ah, insider anon. You heard me! Thank you for responding. I couldn’t publish your last pre-finale note because by the time I redacted everything you wanted me to redact I was left with one sentence about the original title for 8.21 (Neville Townsend) that was already known thanks to the promo pics. But I certainly wondered how much NBC got involved/pulled the strings in the end with this non-answer disaster.
If II’m understanding you correctly, it sounds like there was a plan (and a version filmed?) where Liz (and we) got some more concrete actual answers but NBC pulled it back in the end? I understand you may not be able to say more, but curiosity abounds.
I wish we could have seen the Bokenkamp cut.

Whether Liz is dead…or not, I’m expecting Scottie as the next big bad because they’re gonna fight over who gets custody of Agnes. When Liz faked her death in S3, he had nothing to fight for because Tom wouldn’t let him near Agnes. But Tom is dead, so yeah… he’s gonna go up against Scottie.
Like I said… Keenler baby is more likely with Liz dead. It’s Audrey 2.0
I’m basically saying I still expect my dominoes to play out. It’ll basically work in opposite order. Instead of Scottie leading to her death, she’ll pick up after Liz dies.

Now more than ever

“You act like we’re the same.” She saw it in those last moments. That’s why Liz told Agnes Red has friends who love him. These final scenes are a hit back to Wujing. She saw him for who he really is. Her mother. “I have you.” Now he doesn’t.

Stories put together from Facebook of all Red’s childhood memories: Either all these are lies or all these are true stories. I guess we will see!
Are we to believe these historical tellings from RED? Stories of when he was either pre-teen/teen and IF so then RED grew up in or near Michigan.
Meandering in Red's mind, or "Red, in his own words." Part 5: His stories
Over 7 seasons we have accumulated a lot of stories about Red, his personal experiences. True or not together they paint a picture of the character.
Some of them are about his childhood:
When I was young, I wanted to be able to dance just like Gary Goddard. I still remember going to the Snowflake Dance and watching him for the first time. That kid, man, he could move. Won the eighth-grade talent show. He was on the Yell Squad. Gary even danced his way into Helen Hummer’s pants, and let me tell you something, that was like breaking into Fort Knox. Then in the summer of ‘88, I saw Gary in the diaper aisle at Safeway. He looked like hell. Gray. Out of breath, fatigued. Turns out Gary had a bicuspid valve, needed a heart transplant. He was on the wait list until the day he died.
Funny. The janitor at my elementary school was called “Smokey.” No idea why. He never smoked a day in his life.
I was a lifeguard my junior year in high school. Had to give mouth-to-mouth to Mrs. Beerman. She belched up a lung full of corned beef and chlorine. I haven’t been in a pool since.
I spent two summers operating the Whack-the-Cats at the Emmet County Fair
You know, when I was 15, I had a summer job installing carpets for Albert Kodagolian on Lake Charlevoix. Horrible job hot, indoors, forced to listen to “The Gambler” on 8-track while the rest of the world was at the beach. Three days into the job, I knew I had to quit. I asked my father for adviceAll he wanted to know was whether I’d given my word to Mr.Kodagolian that I’d work the summer. I told him I had. My father suggested I stick it out. I’d given my word. Worst eight weeks of my life. Until the last day. Mr. Kodagolian shows up at the jobsite, pulls me aside, and tells me that in 27 years, no kid has ever made it through the summer, gives me a bonus $40. The most valuable money I’ve ever made. A priceless lesson about life. Value loyalty above all else.
Well, [I want] another spin of the bottle in Melanie Reichman’s basement
Your cummerbund. Pleats up! You look like Bob Yoshimura in 8th-grade swing choir. It’s upside down!
You know, BJ Simpson and I started a lawn-mowing business in the summer of ‘72– bagging, hedging, the whole ball of wax.One day, I’m out rototilling Pat Hunt’s garden. I go in for a bottle of pop– must have been 110– and there’s BJ in the sunken living room, shoes off, feet up on the couch, eating a fried-bologna sandwich, watching Mike Douglas. Mike Douglas! Can you imagine? I quit that day….. Point is, I haven’t had a partner since
Sacrifice the bishop. Reykjavík, '72. God, I can remember it like it was yesterday. I was in Steven Bash’s rec room down in the basement, eating fried egg and bologna sandwich when he did it.... Bobby Fischer. It was game 13, move 50– rook takes bishop, B5. He sacrificed his bishop. That’s when Russia lost the Cold War. It was staggering. Spassky had no answer because he had no endgame, and neither do you.
The first time I ever smoked a cigar was with Marnie Petersen in fifth grade. Funny, little, bat-faced girl. I adored her.
I remember the name of the baker I stole the strawberry bismark from when I was 11 years old and his wife– Trudy Svoboda.
You know, this artist got his start with puppets. What is it about puppets? It’s the same with clowns. I’ll never forget a puppet show I saw when I was 5, maybe 6. Hansel and Gretel. Scared me to death. But it wasn’t the witch. It was the oven. Imagine an oven puppet. I don’t think I set foot in our kitchen for a month.
I haven’t had a babysitter since Brenda Gilroy. My God, pot pies, Lawrence Welk, bath time with Brenda. Still my perfect Saturday night.
Like Bergita Olofson in her parents' rumpus room on a Saturday night.
When I was 17 and heading off to the Naval Academy, I sent the most extravagant love letter to Sarah Ellen Winstead. She never replied. To this day, I remain convinced that the post office failed to deliver it, and that if your colleagues had simply done their jobs, the entire arc of my life might have been different. I might have been thinner and living in Maine.
Rosie Cavendish had a bulldog. Franklin, named after her great-uncle. Poor guy had eczema, dermatitis, seborrhea one skin condition after the next. The dog, not the uncle
I sometimes feel as if I should pay more attention to pop culture. Then I see this "Star Wars," featuring this giant in a bear costume piloting an aircraft and a little green guy swordfighting. And I say a silent prayer of thanks for Tolstoy's moral crisis. This green fellow is considerably too short to be effective in a swordfight.
I have to say, I would've done exactly the same when I was a kid. It's a ghost story creepy woods, rumors of corpses walking around in the dead of night.
As Old Man Quimby, my fencing instructor used to say "If ifs and buts were candy and nuts, oh, what a Christmas we'd have." My God I loved the foil.... "If wishes were horses, beggars would ride." Ah, Quimby. The man was a walking aphorism.
This reminds me of our high-school production of "Guys and Dolls." A rousing rendition of "Fugue for Tinhorns.
I so wanted to be a scout– tying knots, the Pinewood Derby, and the campfire songs. Oh, those songs. I keep trying to explain to Dembe, but I’m no singer.
