Your computer science dork. Personal blog of a programming student from Canada and his interests. A sort of digital diary, since I don't want to spend money on actual physical ones anymore

2020!
The new year is finally here!
After an exhausting first semester in computer science I can proudly say that I somehow managed to not burn out! I balanced out a 25h/week work schedule as well as my eight courses which may seem daunting at first, but ended up not going as terribly as I anticipated it. I finally got back into the dating scene after a much needed hiatus due to my previously abusive ex, and my own unhealthy behaviors that I developed, and spent the greater part of 2019 battling. I met this wonderful exchange student at a Halloween party, and it was like magic or electricity running all trough me when we first saw each other, locked eyes, talked, danced. But, as our relationship bloomed, the date of her departure slowly approached. We ended up having a wonderful time for her entire stay here, but now that she’s back in her home country, all the way across the world from me, my bed has never felt quite as empty. I miss having my baby in my arms. It’s not the end of the world though, neither of us wanted to give up on the relationship, so we’re obviously going to keep things going long distance, until I finish my winter semester and (hopefully around the same time) save up enough money to go and visit her in April. 2019 has been a hell of year, with it’s highs and it’s lows, and I’m very happy where I’m at right now, a straight A student, comfortable in his field, with a loving and caring girlfriend, with wonderful new friends that I met along the way.
To a brand new year, to us becoming better, getting rid of all of our uglies, to the highest success in all of our silly endeavors, and dare-deviling pursuits.
To becoming the people we always truly dreamt of being.
It’s our year, now go out there and kill the whole game!
