Wounds
Anotherrrr
Took so long cause my declining mental health yayyyy
I also rewrote the story 3 times because of me being dumb. Akdjkqjfkw so yea have this story.
Uh warning for some basic gore and a near death experience.
The expedition was as smooth as it could be. Vee was expertly breezing past the machines and each drop of the elevator doors fueled her confidence even further. Vee stood around the corner of the elevator as it dropped, leaning lightly against the soft blanket of Astro. Vee didn't realize that Shelly and Astro would accompany them today, but enjoys the extra company the group gets.
The lift behind the toons opened up, the bright ear to ear smile of Dandy greeting them. Vee remained unmoved, her eyes settling nervously on Dandy. She didn't like being around him, unsettled by his presence as he advertised his collection to the others. Astro seemed to be aware of this, lightly walking the pair off toward the edge of the door. Shelly moving over to the small main grouping in the far corner away from Dandy.
"Hey guys... I am sure we will get further today!" Shelly proclaimed, smiling up at Vee and Astro. Vee nodded with a thumbs up.
"Of course we will, I am here this time!" Vee laughed on queue with the elevator opening, the floor revealing itself to the eight toons within the elevator. It was one of the diner areas, one Vee remembered quite well. This was the restaurant area that they had to pull the sprinklers on because the- She didn't really want to remember that disaster, shuddering at the idea of those birthday candles.
Everyone poured out, Teagan taking Toodles hand closely and guiding them to the east. Most of the group went directly into the main walkway of the diner. Vee knew to keep a eye on Gigi as she walked past her. Vee and Shelly nodded to each other, breaking away from Astro and continuing to the west rooms. Astro usually hung back behind everyone else, it was a lot safer.
That's when everything went dark. The lights cut off, Vee's screen illuminating the fossil in front of her. Shelly jumped and clung to Vee, caught off guard by the sudden blackout. Vee leaned down to pat Shelly on the back, carefully looking out around them as she grabbed the mic-end of her tail. She let go of Shelly and stood upright, pressing a small button at the center of the microphone and waiting.
Vee's sensors and optics all focused in on the microphone, all of her artificial senses focusing in around her. She could detect three sets of unusual footsteps - no two. One of them was walking on four legs. The size and lightness of the footsteps led her to believe it was Toodles' twisted copy. The other however was hard for her to identify.
She motioned for Shelly to follow her closely, walking along the walls and swinging her head to survey for any twisted threats approaching. It was worryingly quiet after the initial scan. The small metallic footsteps and soft scraping of Shelly's clawed feet were all that accompanied them as the pair spotted a bright red light. One of the old extractors. Guest never liked these things, and kids would constantly have to be told to not touch them. Vee walked up to it, letting a hand guide across the red valve until she had a proper grip. There was a trick to these, a small ticking you had to watch out for. The pressure of the value sometimes automatically resets itself for safety, which is VERY loud...
If you time it right, you can shorten the flow a little just before it does this. Vee had it down to a pattern, effortlessly gliding through the machine with Shelly watching behind her. Shelly being here made Vee feel better, she needed to get this done. The small switch from red to the familiar green caused Vee to jump, bur quickly turn and begin to follow Shelly back out of the room.
At this point, they could hear others. It seems Flutter was being chased from the sound of the wings flapping. Vee's worry eased a little as Flutter was a very fast toon, it would take something just as speedy to catch her. Vee stopped a second, glancing back toward Shelly who tilted her head up at Vee.
"You doing alright?" Vee asked, leaning in just a little toward the slightly flustered Shelly.
"Ye-yea! Let's um- Finish this up, it's rather dangerous being in the dark around here..." Shelly noted, which caused Vee to quickly snap out of her little anxious moment over Shelly. She nodded, grabbing her small scaled hand and quickly moving.
It took a little for the duo to find another machine, slipping into the dark kitchen. A small hint of red light reflected off one of the shelves. Vee dragged the concerned fossil over to the machine, choosing to keep a lookout around them this time as Shelly got to work.
Vee gripped tightly onto her mic again, holding it up and sending out another pulse across the floor. The small pitter patter of Toodles' copy was speeding down the hall, just west of the pair heading toward the second kitchen area. Vee noted to-
Where was the other footsteps? It unusually normal, like one of the twisted had entirely vanished. She can hear something brief, but it was just slightly too faint for her to identify. It was a chill that ran down the wire and caused her body to shake.
Vee tried to shake it off as the machine dinged, the usual smug grin coming across her screen. Shelly turned back toward her as Vee spoke, throwing her arms out as she said, "Come on. I believe the others are going to finish up the other machines, maybe- They are a lot slower than us."
Shelly almost broke into a giggle, but her eyes quickly widened up at Vee. It was a look of horror plastered over her face, throwing her arms out toward Vee.
It was so slow. Vee had a good eye for detail, but it's like everything had frozen around her. Vee slowly looked down, her hands dropping as she found the culprit of such reaction.
A red, open mouth hooked around her stomach. A ichor stained cup with sharp teeth pressing into her metal body. Ah, that's who it was.
Vee found it almost comical, but her mind was quickly blanked by the sheer pain of the mouth pulling back. A loud mechanical screech of metal rung out through the entire floor as her wires and mechanics were forcefully scrapped out by the craft mouth.
When was she sideways? A blur surrounded Vee, the bright light of the ceiling hurting her optics. It didn't feel that painful anymore, but it all felt numb. The constant movement and shuffling lead Vee to believe she was being carried, a blurry blue object right above her. Two sensations pressed against her back, two more supporting the legs. Astro, was that her goofy star?
Vee found it hard to focus on one thing, her mind jumping all over the place. It felt cold. Vee liked the cold, being cold was good for a machine, but not this cold. This cold was blistering, slipping underneath the metal and penetrating a part of her mind she didn't even know she had.
The light got far brighter, though Vee regonized this one! It was the- elevator, yea. The vaguely tan outline of Shelly caused her to try and jolt up... Shelly would be so worried to see her like this! Vee couldn't bring herself to move, no matter how much she tried. It felt impossible to do anything but silently scream in her head. She-
She... It began to dawn on her, a waking moment that sunk her so much deeper. She didn't even consider this until a moment of silence let her reflect.
Was she dying?
No no, that would be ridiculous. Vee is too cool for that, she probably just overheated her system. She probably just- Ugh, thinking about it brought the pain back up. A horrible, grueling feeling that hit her right in the stomach, rolling in everyone's arms as the elevator doors opened.
Maybe she... Just needed to nap a moment- Sleep mode felt more and more appealing. Everytime she tried to rest her head, a sudden jolt of movement from a red shape above her kept her up. Sprout! Seedly, as annoying as it was to see him, she enjoyed his presence here.
Even with his jolting and muffled screaming over her, she found it increasingly difficult to try and remain awake. Her visual sensors slowly beginning to cut offline. She could vaguely see a purple square shape above her, being handed a variety of little shiny items by a red ball... Vee couldn't barely word what was she was thinking, or looking at. She was just embarrassed on top of it all. The great and amazing host Vee, laying on a table with a missing stomach.
The shut-off brought a scream throughout the main lobby of gardenview that even caused Dandy to shiver. He had vaguely heard what occured. Scrambling and yelling as the elevator flew back up to the surface. He was positioned in his usual shop post, preferring to get to it before they come up. It was... Dandy stared at his hands, his body slightly curling forward on the counter.
Dandy couldn't bring himself to move, staring at his hands and slowly looking through the piles of tapes underneath the counter. Dandy just needed to take his mind off her... He just needed to keep his mind off Vee. Dandy brought one of the tapes up, reading the title with a small grin. Hide and Seek Champions, one of his favorite events to be apart of. Ve- UGH. He nearly threw the tape against the floor, just barely stopping himself and setting it down slowly.
Dandy couldn't bring himself to sit by any longer, getting up and storming off in the direction the horde of toons went. They likely went down to the dorms by now. Dandy stepped inside the side elevator that lead down toward the toon's various bedrooms and living quarters. The rumbling of the elevator as it slid felt strangely piercing now, cutting through any normal thought he had with concerns over Vee.
The elevator ride felt longer than Dandy remembered it being, but the elevator slowly came to a halt as soon as he began to ponder on it. The large door sliding open to reveal the main quarters. The main hallway was filled with toons, waiting and seeing if Vee would be alright. Dandy stood near the back of the room, watching from afar and lightly holding onto his twitching hand.
It was hours, hours of repairing and trying to find all the necessary materials to even attempt such a thing. Many toons had broken into the electronics like vending machines to try and acquire parts that could be used to fix her. He doubted this would work, but a part of him held some hope. The crowd began to slowly clear overtime, leaving just the more dedicated few to remaining awake for this. Dandy leaned close to the green door of Vee's room, peering inside. Three figures stood over Vee's unconscious body, having been placed back into her bed. She seems to be in a far better off state than before, but Boxten and Gigi were still hard at work. Shelly watching with a fear visible in her eyes.
Like usual, everyone froze a little upon realizing he was present. Everything always felt so tense around other toons. Dandy opened the door and stepped in, a small shuffling to keep a small bit of distance away from the flower. Shelly stood her ground, too focused on Vee to even care about his presence. Boxten seemed to be finishing up, collecting his tools and glancing back at the two.
"We've- done basically all I can... Think of. She will most likely turn on by herself, I don't see any sort of- on switch. We will h-have to wait," Boxten explained to those in the room around him, his nervous posture worsening as he was met with silence in return.
Boxten carefully slipped past Dandy and out of the room, Gigi following behind him closely. Neither wanted to be in there with Dandy, he knew that. Dandy tried to contain the small twitch of annoyance that interrupted his movement, stopping upon noticing Shelly had her eyes on him.
"Staying?" Dandy asked, sitting on the edge of the bed, staring at Vee. Shelly gave a soft nod, moving to Vee's side and lightly crouching down, solemly gazing at Vee. Neither wanted to say anything, both simply focusing their gaze on the black, pitch dark screen. Dandy placed his face into his hand, leaning forward on the bed and muttering, "You narcissistic toaster."
It wasn't funny anymore, he was used to Vee's problems and silly accidents and mistakes. Her still body laid in the bed now taunting at him.
"I knew this would happen. Those things- my accidents got to you," Dandy rambled. He's always felt not the best about the creations in those old floors he had helped create. This was the final straw, someone had known so closely- even if it was V E E was nearly killed by him.
Dandy's thoughts were interrupted by a small clawed hand touching his back, softly patting it. He lifted his head to see Shelly had moved next to him, their eyes locking for a rather uncomfortable stretch of time.
Sitting there, even in such a horrible situation felt normal again. Dandy felt less twitchy for once, his mind wasn't so focused on those damned tapes. Shelly nodded back, seemingly understanding his gaze.
Neither wanted to speak, both their heads turning back to Vee. She was still, her black screen void of the usual smug smirks and confident expressions they were used to seeing. Dandy stared blank, hiding his emotions with the most flimsy mask he could replace his sadness with.
The situation is finally hitting Shelly, tears beginning to wash down her face. She clutched onto Dandy, digging her claws into his shoulders and sobbing against him. Dandy winced softly, feeling the sharp claws penetrade his skin. He kept still, just wrapping his arms around Shelly and holding her close. Dandy didn't even notice his face was wet, but quickly joined her with his own wilent weeping.
As the two clung close, a small green light caused both to jump and turn, staring at Vee's screen. It flicked on for just a second, a pained expression on Vee's face before it quickly shut back off.
Dandy and Shelly shared a gaze, both trying to decipher what it means. She might have a better chance than they thought...

Astro's Burden
The title is sarcastic, this is a very silly fic about Astro's numerous partners abusing the fact he has the largest bed.
This is based on a ship I like to call, "Starring Cast". It is the main 5 mains(Bobbette excluded), Dandy, Astro, Sprout, Shelly, and Vee in a large polycule. They each take turns taking care of Pebble.
Expect overwhelming silliness. Call a doctor if symptoms occur.
Dandy stood in front of the large blue door that led into Astro's room, holding his gaze on the pattern of stars and letting out a sigh. It was after hours, so most the toons didn't have much else to do today. Dandy slowly opened the door, calling out to the starry toon, "Astro? You up and about?"
Though, there wasn't any reply as he planted himself past the doorframe, closing the door rather loudly behind him. Astro didn't seem to be in his room right now, the darkness of his sleeping area inviting Dandy to turn on the room light. Dandy briefly shut his eyes as the room illuminated, revealing that the large plush bed was empty. Astro must still be out there with the other toons.
Dandy stood over the bed, eyeing the blankets with light jealousy. Astro has such a cozy room, one tailored for his maximum comfort. Dandy is sure Astro would understand him climbing up onto the bed, shifting himself under the silky covers and just letting out a large sigh relief.
-
Shelly stormed down the hall, trying to hold her head up high. There were sssoo many kids today, and an entire FIELD TRIP was brought into her museum area. She spent most the hours past the group leaving just trying to put the fossil pit back together. Shelly marched her way up to Astro's door, opening it with very little thought and making her way inside. Her mouth began to run before she could stop it, spilling itself to Astro, "I thought having more kids today would go well, but they kept messing with stuff... I was barely able to explain anything without them using the shovels as weapons!"
"Mhm..." The voice behind Shelly muttered, which was too light to possibly be Astro's voice. Dandy was laying in the bed, tightly wrapped under the covers and giving his usual smug look up at Shelly. Shelly's body eased upon realizing it was just Dandy, sitting on the edge of the bed.
"You sound like you need some rest," Dandy said, lifting up the blankets and motioning for Shelly to join him. She examined the offer with a pause, before climbing forward and slipping in beside Dandy, resting her head against his large petals.
-
Vee couldn't find Shelly anywhere, continuing to knock on her door with louder and louder. If Shelly wasn't in her room, where could she be. Vee's thought was instantly Dandy's room. She enjoys hanging out with his flower garden, but peaking her way into the green and rainbowy garden proved to show no Shelly. Thinkkkk Vee, where could Sh- Of course, Astro's room.
All the ones and zeros clicking away in her head settled on this answer, she was with Astro. He usually is who any of the toons go to when stressed. Vee pathed across the room over to Astro's room, turning the doorknob and stepping inside. That was not Astro, but it was Shelly. Vee identified both Dandy and Shelly relaxing in his bed, laid close beside each other. Vee giggled to herself, speaking up, "Thieving his bed away, without me?"
Dandy chuckled, though Shelly was dead asleep and letting out muffled snoring against the fluffy petals. Vee walked around the side of the bed and dropping herself into the warmth of the bed, cuddling up next to Dandy's other side.
- Star Tarts! Sprout rushed his way down the hall with a excited hop, holding a small box of his newest creation. Small blueberry tarts shaped like stars! He made this first batch for Cosmo and Astro, a few missing as Cosmo already had his fill. Sprout shifted the wrapped box to his right hand as he swung his door open, declaring, "I got you something Astro!"
He was shut up rather quickly when he looked down, seeing three very-much-not Astro toons staring back up at him. Shelly looked groggy and reading to go back to sleep. Vee and Dandy both shared a similar little cheeky smile. Sprout glared lightly at them, sitting the box down on the dresser that was lined with various small model stars and spaceships.
Sprout came up to them, and FLOPPED right onto Dandy and Vee. Both grunted loudly before they broke out into a giggle fit. Shelly almost joined them, but devolved back into slow breathing. Sprout pulled the blankets around, shifting his way into the trio's laps and pulling the blanket back over, embracing himself into the warm blankets, his thin green tail sticking out just next to Vee.
-
Astro yawned softly, huddling closely into his own blanket and slowly drifting gracefully back toward his room. It was a long day and Astro assisted Scraps and Goob with their crafts. He was carrying one of the finger painted star charts with him, smiling warmly at it. One of the floating stars pushed out from the wrapped blanket and clicked open the door, looking up once he noticed the light was on.
Ah, that's why. Three other toons laid cuddled into his blankets, snuggled close with eyes shut tightly, Vee's face blank with no expression covering it. A small leafy tail and big bump in the middle of bed cueing Astro as to where the last main was. Astro giggled, bringing two of his top arms out of his blanket to clip the finger painting up onto the various strings he keeps the crafts on. Astro silently drifted to the bed, scooting his way in next to Shelly, taking off the small blanket and slipping it on top of a small mat under his bed. His arms wrapped around Shelly, cuddling in.
Astro's eye slowly began to close, a small sparkle illuminating his hands.
If they sleep well like this, he might have to start making arrangements.
END.

Fuck
Masterpost
I completely fucked up my previous blog and am having to restart, I hate this stupid site.
Misty, DW fanfic writer who plans to write a bunch of DW stuff if I don't fuck it up again.
Not a artist, I'll have to learn how to draw if you want art with any of this, so yea.
I am very pissed while writing this so if my language is rude that is why. You can submit request but they have a low chance of actually happening as I prefer to work off my own ideas. I do not like writing x reader stuff so you'll have to really convince me. Please be detailed with a request.
My upload schedule is whenever I want to, I sometimes forget I even have a blog so be patient.
I'd prefer you don't send headcanon request, and keep in mind I potray these characters FAR differently than the norm, hence my HCs usually bring very different.
You can also just ask me shit or whatever else you do with ask. Send a death threat, idk.
Yea
I mainly plan to write about my AUs.
