A lovely Gazan teacher named Dina Maliha has reached out to me to help share her campaign with you.
The Maliha family once led a humble and stable life, when everything they'd worked for was taken from them on Oct. 7th. They have faced unimaginable horror and indignity as they've been forced to evacuate from norther Gaza to the south under threat of heavy gunfire and bombing, as well as aggression from Israeli occupation forces.
They are currently raising the funds they need to evacuate their family from Gaza. Everyday that passes, their lives are all at risk, either from bombardment, or lack of food and water. Dina's mother is also chronically ill, and this difficult life they are leading is putting her at greater risk.
The Maliha family needs to raise €32,000 and the breakdown of these funds is available at the link below, where Dina's sister Nora has written more about their situation and about the Maliha siblings. They have only made €5,100 of their goal. So if you can donate, please do,and reblog/share!
You can also read more, and get updates about the situation from Dina's tumblr account @dinamaliha. Make sure to support her posts there as well.
heres my advice to any followers i have who are young. Don't delete things when you think you've outgrown them or they're cringy. If you make youtube videos just private them don't delete them. Save your files, you can bury them in multiple sub-folders if you think they're cringe now but DON'T DELETE THEM! It doesn't feel like it now but years in the future you will look back fondly at who you were and wish you still had those things.
In mine and many other east Asian cultures, the dragon traditionally symbolises things like power, wealth and strength (imperial symbol and all)
I think we often forget that in the story of the Great Race, the dragon came in fifth because it'd stopped to give people rain. Then it'd stopped again to push a rabbit adrift on a log across the wide river so it reached the shore safely (that's why the Rabbit year comes before the Dragon).
Dragons aren't meant to just be powerful - they are meant to do good with such power, and to help those in need.
So in this lunar new year, I hope you gain more power, so that you might be able to help others. I pray you have abundant resources so you may give to yourself and those around you. I wish you courage, endurance, kindness and generosity, for yourself and your people.
I hope you, and I, will be rain givers, life preservers, joy bringers.
These are free to use but if you'd like high-resolution versions you can get them off my Ko-Fi!
I know I haven't been on Tumblr in a minute but I wanted to share this project I've been working on for the last month and a half :') getting back to my roots with the Fallout 4 Valentines I made 8 years ago.
