Finished posting So This is Christmas (War is Over)!!! I've never finished a multi-chapter fic in my life before, so this was really exciting for me! More thoughts on that below, but here's the link to the epilogue (even though links are still being evil for me??? idk what's happening)

I think I might continue with my strategy of finishing writing it before posting any of it because it's usually the lack of instant gratification that bums me out but i feel like i'm riding the high of posting a fic this long LOL. It's definitely not the longest thing i've written HOWEVER it's totally the longest thing i've FINISHED. but i am older and wiser now and i think i might just abandon less works perhaps (or i'm setting myself up for failure. we shall see!)

Anyways, I REALLY want to try my hand at writing an even longer piece than this, so if you have anything you want to see or any prompts you want written, let me know! My ask box is always open i love asks.

it's a classic case of the jack of all trades getting overlooked because their agility and prosperity within multiple fields makes them less of a traditional prodigy and it makes me SICK!

I feel like we don't talk enough about the fact that Lance was top of his class as a cargo pilot. like everyone is so quick to demean Lance's intelligence because he's surrounded by the dictionary definition of geniuses in their own fields, but his line "fighter pilot, thanks to you washing out" to Keith means he was TOP RANK NUMBER ONE as a cargo pilot.

Lance is consistently infantilized and bullied for being a jack of all trades. his focus is spread, and even so he excels at what he sets his mind to. He, with little to no real gun or hand-to-hand combat training, becomes the team's designated sharpshooter. he also unlocks an altean broadsword , the only paladin to unlock multiple classes of weapons.

But he is the brunt of so many jokes because he's an empathetic, selfless, charismatic guy and a good friend BEFORE he's a genius. And honestly, i do believe whole heartedly that he is a genius, his focus is just so spread that he isn't a prodigy like his team members.

I love you Lance McClain.
