Stationery Love

I just love beautiful, simple, neat and minimal paper!
My order from "rosiepapeterie.com" arrived after coming home from my morning hamstring/glute workout session. Such a delight. A sweet treat that I cannot eat.
I am moving from my Filofax Personal to an A5. It's bigger and a lot more space to write on. However, the downside is that it won't be very portable because of its weight and size. That is not a concern though since its functionality and beauty makes me happy. And a happy me always leads to a productive me - focused, determined and consistent. I cannot wait to move everything into here!
Til next time

Papier
I have decided to go back to my six-ringed agenda for everyday life events. Though I will continue to use my online calendar, I will delegate most tasks on paper. Yes, it is very convenient to have everything accessed online, but there is something about writing on paper that thrills me! I am on oldie. An old soul.
My plan is to have a notebook on me at all times to write ideas, notes, and quotes that inspire me. A brain dump as one would call it. My main planner (the six-ringed) will be on my desk. My calendar online will still be accessed daily. I'm not certain how this will work, but I do like a notebook on me everywhere.
Well, the night is here, and tomorrow is Easter: a day of family, food, and celebration!

Mind Shift
My mind has been overwhelmed with tasks, unmundane things, events, etc. for the last few weeks. I'm poof. Burnt-out. Unorganized. Plus, I found out I'm allergic to Brazilian nuts (so good, BTW). I'm not deathly allergic, but I had bumps all over my body and itching everywhere. I kept eating it for a week too 馃槳. Besides the point, my skin is really paying for it even now (it's been three weeks).
This evening, I climbed on my desktop and realized I missed a mouse and a keyboard. I looked at my Google calendar and realized I hadn't done time blocking in a while. I had been writing it down before on paper, but it isn't as accessible as it is on the internet. So, I decided to update my calendar. Here's how I organized it.
I made six main calendars:
1. Daily Duty (morning routine, drop-offs, pick-ups, cooking time, home chores, and everyone's schedule on my time)
2. Shift Work (times I work, and pay days)
3. Me Time (gym, facial massage, reading)
4. Appointments/Payments (everyone's appointments, payments for house, car, etc.)
5. Family Time (birthdays, events, dinner dates, etc,)
6. Creative Work (social media related)
After putting all the information, I noticed that I can squeeze time for writing, or for gym, or even for a light walk. Reading can be done at night before bed. Even drinking my 2-3L of water goal can be done. With that realization, I do have time for things that are irrelevant to others but are important to me. The small stuff matters to me. Speaking of small stuff, sleep is very important, and that task is hard to do. So, my main task right now and every night is sleep. Cheers to six hours of sleep tonight. Hopefully. Good night!

Ever So Softly

I've been battling dry skin for years and dream of softer hands! I love the feel of soft hands. It evokes gentleness, calmness, strength and warmth! Soft hands speaks volumes without uttering a word. Have you ever felt soft and smooth hands? No? Well, let me tell you, they are something else! A co-worker had suggested the French brand "L'Occitane." She had urged me to try their famous shea butter hand cream, and I was tremendously thrilled! Knowing how her hands were before (dry, rough, old, and peeling lol) I can affirm that mine will get better as well, and I will be closer to having softer hands!
So, over the weekend I ordered the hand cream from Sephora along with a duo consisting of an almond body oil and hand cream. The package arrived today and without hesitation I slathered it on my hands! It's so soft, smooth, and nourishing. The scent is very faint, and not too overwhelming. I cannot wait to see the results!

Back at One
I've been out of the gym for two weeks, but I'm starting to train again this week! Today was quads and calves day, and it was brutal. My strength wasn't there, but I managed to push through it. I also had to lower my weights, but I'm very happy to be back! Always rocking my Reebok Nano x3 and lululemon during lower body days!

Night Sky Lullaby

"I have loved the sky too fondly to be fearful of the night."
Through reading I can stimulate and nourish my mind. So, I end my evening here with this book entitled, "The Power of Your Subconscious Mind" by Joseph Murphy.

Progress
The gym has changed my life!
It has tremendously helped me physically, but most importantly, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. I've learned that the results are determined by how much work I put in during my training. So there is no "easy result" (as one would say). It is very humbling.
Progress is the key factor that allows me to go and grow. The key ingredients are discipline and consistency. Discipline is measured by my will to get up every day and just go and do what needs to be done. It also keeps me focused on what my goals are and how to attain them. There is no room for regrets in life, so I choose to keep going forward! Similarly, consistency measures my progress, my diary of "the work" I've put in, and allows me to see how much stronger I've become every day since day one.
Yes, my life has changed just in one year! The gym is now part of my lifestyle; a life I hope to grow old, strong, and happy!
