What is Google analytics?
It is a tool that helps you to  monitor user activity, conversions, and website traffic. It gives you information about where visitors are from, what pages they visit, how they use your site, and how long they remain.With the help of key metrics like bounce rate, average session length and conversion rate,you can track user engagement and identify areas for development. 
Step 1: To set up a google analytics Account.
Go to https://analytics.google.com.
If this is your first time using Google Analytics, click Start Measuring. .
Provide an account name. Configure the data-sharing settings to control which data you share with Google.
Click Next to add the first property to the account.
Step 2 : To create a property:
Are you continuing from "Create an Analytics account", above? If so, skip to step 2. Otherwise, in Admin, click Create, then select Property.
Enter a name for the property (e.g. "My Business, Inc website") and select the reporting time zone and currency.
Click Next. Select your industry category and business size.
Click Next. Select how you intend to use Google Analytics. For example, if you choose "Generate more leads," you will see a collection of reports to help you measure lead generation.
Click Create and (if you are setting up a new account) accept the Analytics Terms of Service and the Data Processing Amendment.
 Step 3 : To create stream 
Continue to Add a data stream to start collecting data.
Click iOS app, Android app, or Web.
Step 4 : Get Your UA Tracking ID:
After setting up your property, you’ll be taken to the Tracking Info page.
Under Tracking Code, you’ll see the Tracking ID in the format UA-XXXXX-Y (e.g., UA-12345678-1).
Copy this Tracking ID.
Step 5 : Add the UA Tracking Code to Your Website:
Below the Tracking ID, you'll find the Global Site Tag (gtag.js) tracking code.
Replace UA-XXXXX-Y with your unique Tracking ID.
Add this code to the section of every page on your website you wish to track.
Step 6 : Verify the Tracking Code Installation:
Once the tracking code is added, go to the Real-time report in Google Analytics to ensure that it is receiving data from your site.
You should be able to see live data showing that users are on your website.
Real time Reports: This section shows live user data, such as how many visitors are on your website, which pages they're viewing, and where they're coming from.
Life Cycle Reports:
Acquisition: Shows how users arrive at your site (organic search, direct traffic, paid search, etc.).
Engagement: Provides data on how users interact with your content (page views, events, etc.).
Monetization: Displays e-commerce data (if you've set up e-commerce tracking).
Retention: Shows how well you are retaining users over time.
C. User Reports:
This section provides demographic data (age, gender, location) and the devices or platforms users are using (e.g., mobile, desktop).
D. Events & Conversions:
This section shows the events that are tracked on your site, including those you've set up as conversions.
E. User Explorer:
You can analyze individual user behavior over multiple sessions. This helps to understand how users interact with your website or app.
Step 7: Set Up Google Tag Manager (Optional for Advanced Tracking)
If you're handling multiple tags or want to implement more complex tracking, you can use Google Tag Manager (GTM) to manage your tags without modifying your website code directly.
Create a GTM account at Google Tag Manager.
You'll be given a GTM container code. Add this to your website’s and sections, similar to how you added the GA4 tracking code.
You can create custom tags for additional tracking, like button clicks, video plays, or form submissions.
Step 8: Understand Key Metrics and Reports
Users: The number of unique users who visited your site.
Sessions: A session is a group of interactions one user has with your website within a given timeframe (usually 30 minutes).
Engaged Sessions: This metric shows how many sessions involved active engagement (e.g., viewing more than one page).
Events: Actions like page views, button clicks, or form submissions.
Conversions: Any important action you've set as a conversion, like signing up for a newsletter or making a purchase.
Step 9: Regularly Monitor Your Data
Monitor Traffic Trends: Check the Acquisition and Engagement reports to track how users are interacting with your website.
Check Conversions: Regularly monitor how well your website is achieving its goals (e.g., form submissions, purchases).
Adjust Your Marketing: Use insights from GA4 to tweak your campaigns and improve user experience on your website.
