Being inclusive to autistics as an autistic is recognising and accepting that we all have conflicting wants or needs.
You may hate bright lights but another autistic may love them.
You may hate being in crowds but another autistic might love that.
You may hate tags on your shirt but another autistic may actually like having tags on their shirt.
You may love bland foods but another autistic may love rich or extreme flavours.
You may love infodumping to people but it may be too overwhelming for another autistic.
A spectrum includes all ends of extremes. And all of it deserves to be accepted and accommodated for.

Fandoms stopped being a fun escape from reality when people started spreading the belief that you should prioritize purity over pleasure and the art you create must be a reflection of your moral standards at all times.

Sometimes it is your fault.. Sometimes you don’t listen well enough, you’re selfish, you’re rude and you aren’t always right. Sometimes you fucked it up and tbh that’s okay. It happens, learn from it, apologize and keep it moving. Just because you fucked up doesn’t mean you’re a bad person. Don’t dwell on it

Sharing this as a type one diabetic, can’t reuse infusion sets, needles, test strips, etc- same w/ expired insulin, way too risky 😅
Yall I hate to break it to you but sometimes disability isn’t the most eco-friendly sustainable practices 100% ethically sourced thing.
I have no idea where the metal in my leg is from. Or where all of the surgical instruments or medications i’ve taken are from.
I can guarantee the knee brace I rely on, my cane, my (future) wheelchair, etc aren’t made in the best ways either.
I use single-use things. KT tape for my joints, individually packaged things, etc. I would love to use something more sustainable but that’s not an option for me.
In an ideal world some of this stuff could be better (like sourcing materials in a more ethical way), but some stuff wouldn’t change (needing single use products). Stop holding disabled folks to impossibly high standards, especially ones that majority of ableds can’t even live up to.

I feel like this is an unpopular opinion, but more people should read incomplete/unfinished/in-progress fanfics.
I've noticed this huge trend where creators on tiktok and tumblr who will be explaining how to use Archive Of Our Own to new users and they always say "and make sure to scroll down and click completed only" or how people will go out of their way to mention they only read completed fics 'because they were traumatized when they forgot to check the dates and didn't realize this fic hadn't been updated since 2012'.
The thing is - I think by not engaging with and/or actively avoiding writer's WIPs readers are potentially adding to the aggregate of abandoned works. Now this obviously isn't the case for all abandoned fics, anything from major life events, to loss of interest, to getting busy can be a reason for a fic getting abandoned - but at least on some level I just know that writers are quitting while they're ahead when they aren't garnering any response or feedback because reading WIPs has become unpopular. If you're worried about reading something that hasn't been updated since 2012 then you can use the date updated function to sort out old fics.
Anyways, support your favorite fanfic writers by engaging with their WIPs.

Learned this the hard way haha :))
One of the most dangerous things in the world is not being able to say no to people because you don't want to upset them or dissapoint them. This will completely ruin your life in every way possible, at work, in your private life, your sex life and your friendships. It's a way of removing your own consent in your own decisions and go against your wishes, it is always a crime against yourself. Let yourself have a say. Upsetting people is better than traumatizing yourself.
