Spamton has pieced together from Mettaton being a “artificial soul in a robot” and that getting alphys to the position of royal scientist that Alphys is probably Tena’s creator. So he hates BOTH of their asses.

Tenna has also sort of subconsciously put the pieces together but he is consciously in Denial. He is happy for Mettaton’s success but can’t help but feel sad because he’s everything he’s always wanted to be and have but doesn’t.

They attack you in a desperate bid to get Frisk’s soul and get to the surface. “If I get to the surface maybe I can finally become a TV star!” -Tenna “Human, sorry kid but that Heart Shaped Object is going to let us all see the sun -Regards, Spamton G Spamton”

They double battle you, in a genocide or normal route if you kill Spamton first, Tenna will break down and beg you to kill him. If you kill Tenna first Spamton will fly into a rage and get higher attack, but takes more damage and become unable to be spared.

Post pacifist Tenna finally gets to meet Alphys who had no clue her invention worked and is vaguely horrified by the fact he’s been waiting in the junkyard the whole time for her to come back, they make up but Spamton is still ever so slightly miffed. He’s supportive though. Tenna and Mettaton run a show together that Spamton regularly guest stars on, but he gets to fulfill his secret dream of designing cars! He drives by in his very own Cungaderro alongside Papyrus in the end credits :)

Sans and Spamton kind of sort of know each other. Sans remembers who Spamton was before the incident, and Spamton has a vague familiarity towards Sans in this Deja Vu way that nags at him in a way that makes him avoid Sans all together. The few times he’s met Papyrus though he’s been fond of the guy.

Spamton has a lot of Deja Vu around you resetting but doesn’t know about them or remember them in whole. They mostly come to him in weird dreams (or nightmares)

Scarlet Hollow Episode 5 September Progress Update

Dearest Cousins,

We just got back from PAX, where we had a wonderful time meeting some of you and catching up with other devs.

It's been a pretty scattered month between traveling and some cool behind the scenes stuff we can't talk about for a while, but we still made further progress with art and coding. Abby's finished another six backgrounds (now up to 20 total for the episode) and I finished the final touches on three script files.

But most importantly, we also figured out a much better way to tackle the middle arc of the Episode, and have had to dedicate a couple of weeks to reworking those sections of the script. We usually find ourselves doing edits to this extent at some point during development, so this isn't too unusual for our process.

And thankfully, we're already most of the way through this draft, so taking that extra time shouldn't throw development too far off schedule. But hitting our original target release date in early December was already going to be a tight deadline, and at this point, it no longer feels like a reasonable goal. We can very comfortably commit to two things, though:

Episode 5 will release in Q1 of 2026.

We'll announce a firm release date before the end of the year. I will say that we have a specific date in mind, but a short-form announcement on tumblr isn't the place to share that information. We care a lot about Scarlet Hollow and want to make sure it has the opportunity to participate in showcases and reach an even larger audience.

We know that this is disappointing news, and that you've all been incredibly patient while we've plugged away at this, but it's important to us to communicate clearly and honestly with you all, rather than stringing you (and ourselves) along until the scope of the remaining work forced us to delay last minute. We strongly believe that this new draft elevates the episode to new heights and is worth the extra time. We can't wait to devastate all of you >:]

Shoutout to the Affini that are way more horny for rules and bureaucracy than they are for domestication.

Whenever I go to a Magic: The Gathering tournament my Affini opponents always try to use their bioryhthyms or whatever to distract than the judge rolls up and is like “that’s a game loss babes you aren’t allowed to hypnotize your opponent at tournament level rules enforcement” and not only do I get to keep my independence I also get to win like a third of my games that way, I keep winning RCQs because these Affini try to step on MY TURF. If you want some of this you are gonna have to beat me the old fashion way
