sentiment prompted by finally clearing the hurdle of nemesis being an awful time to fight and getting properly into re3. it truly is insane that capcom made them remake this game in like, a year. the original pushes outwards from its predecessors in all directions, you can feel the team's enthusiasm to outdo their previous work rolling of this thing in waves, it getting a remake that feels *smaller* than its respective predecessor is like some sort of cruel historical joke. obviously they did it because they didn't know that they'd be remaking resident evil for the next decade and there was a chance re2r would be a one-off hit that they needed to cash in on before the hype went away but. man
