I do hate to do this but I think I’m continuing to buddie truth for another season. this is such a classic slow burn I really feel it in my bones.

of course elephant in the room Bobby died which is extremely sad but I think it’s great for the longevity of the show. if the show can outlast its main protagonists it can go on forever and 911 wants to go on forever and it should. but this post is not about bobby.

back to buddie truthing.

that scene with where Eddie shows up and Buck zip lines towards him and stares at him lovingly while ravi hugs Eddie and emotional music plays…I’m sorry. Thats gay. I hate to say it.

the bit where he says he liked his last place because it was homely and lived in…that’s gay.

but let’s examine this further.

bucks whole story line this entire season was just him thinking about Eddie too much. reacting poorly when Eddie was leaving, then poorly processing his grief of Eddie leaving, then fucking BOBBY dies. and that breaks him and he just has to leave. because he has lost two people who are very important to him and he feels like his family is breaking up.

the way Eddie cheers him up is bringing his family over. they are a unit in the show. a couples unit like the other couple units. not the whole time but RECENTLY.

to wrap this bit up, basically the subtext is that Buck is romantically in love with Eddie and does not understand this. this is also not subtext as it is raised in The Text by two people in one episode. you wouldn’t catch supernatural dead in a DITCH implying that cas might be sincerely in love with Dean. if you don’t count the time they did do this but I digress. you get my point. its the plot. the show is not that layered idk.

anyway onto Eddie. his arc this season has been reclaiming his family and returning to his family. and trusting himself to be a good parent. self reflection! understanding that he has value and is wanted.

I think the imbalance of how much of bucks interior vs Eddie’s interior thoughts and feelings we have seen is (partially due to the fact that Oliver stark is now second billed after Angela basset I think??) because Buck is a lot more in touch with his feelings in the sense of expressing them, whereas Eddie is just a generally repressed guy. he just doesn’t super love to examine his feelings and will go a lifetime without doing so. so reclaiming his family was hard because he has to radically love himself enough to get his son back even though he doesn’t really know how to do that.

and now they are clashing because of this difference. and because they love each other and don’t know how to express that.

so I think now everything is just perfectly poised you see. Here come the conspiracies.

Buck doesn’t have a home….

I really hope they move him back in with Eddie. please. for me. I beg. I plead.

but in general the dynamic is back together so now bucks profound overreaction to Eddie leaving is going to cause some strange tension. Eddie will be upset that Buck made his journey of reclaiming his family about him and Buck will think why yes…what did I do that I wonder…

Because of the extreme danger and the collapse of the health system, some of the pieces could not removed at their location. The doctor assessed his health and told his family that he needs to receive treatment in another country as soon as possible. Obviously, doing so safely requires coordination and funds for both travel and the surgical fees once they get to a hospital. He has been living in a tent and trying to raise funds since then.

After fundraising for over 300 days, he had raised €14,500 (almost 50% of the €30,000 he needs). Then April 25, GoFundMe deleted his fundraiser with no warning or clear explanation. He contacted GoFundMe's technical support, but they ignored him and didn't respond.

He has had to restart all over again with a new fundraiser. So far only €1,210 donations have come in, a mere 4% of what he needs. All donations were returned to their donors, so if you previously donated, please return that money to him!

He is still suffering the physical and psychological pain of feeling shrapnel from the Israeli bombing that destroyed his childhood home embedded in his body.

not to be crazy but here’s some predictions of what I feel will happen

-Bobby is dead now which is sad and the team is going to feel very destroyed and disjointed

-they will need to renegotiate their dynamic again because the captain is gone

-Eddie will hopefully come back and end up staying bc he realises that his people need him

-but Eddie’s conflict is that he feels out of step with the group, especially since he wasn’t present for this huge event that happened to all of them but him

-BASICALLY i think this opens up the story for more plot and character development for everyone

-and maybe Athena will finally stop being a cop and go do something else please please please please please please please please please please please

I also hope she is ok bc this is very devastating and I hope the fire family support her
