They were three children living a normal, comfortable life with all their needs provided for. Nasser, 8 years old, Baraa, 4 years old, and Adam, 1 year old.
Our story with Adam: Adam was one year old when the war started and he left his home and the wonderful, dignified life. He was displaced to a tent without the minimum necessities of life. A team came to provide support and assistance and brought some food and fruits.
Adam's reaction was strange. He attacked the fruits without realizing it. He ate them greedily. Adam began to ask his father for fruits on a daily basis as if he was exploring the world through them.

my followers know of @ibrahim-blogs' vetted campaign. thanks to everyone's kindness, he's now two-thirds of the way to his goal. he still needs our help– but he and his sister hope to rally the same attention to their relatives, who are a lot lower on funds (just 2% of the way to their goal!!) and have more people to evacuate.
the first time i tried to bring attention to this campaign i accidentally posted the wrong link, and it was a few days until i could get around to reposting this, so id deeply appreciate if everyone reading would help me make up for lost time 🙏

What an amazing sound - Women from the Rugova region in Kosovo are singing to the rhythms of tepsia (copper pan for preparing traditional food). This disappearing minimalistic style was a popular form of singing among communities throughout the Dinara mountain range. Filmed by Japanese ethnographers from the National Museum of Ethnology in Osaka.

Ok, I'm watching HLVRAI again to refresh myself for whatever is dropping in a few hours, and got to this scene again, and it reawakened my stupid gripe.
So, Baaulp didn't remember what this meant, Wayne didn't remember what it means, so they end up saying "Maybe he's calling the manta ray space ship a dactar? Maybe he's somehow pulling ancient rugrats lore?" And it's bothered me for ages because I KNOW what Baaulp was trying to say here as Tommy!
Tommy isn't calling the manta ray ship a dactar. He's calling THIS alien here a Daxstar!
Ok, but what the fuck does that mean?
"That creature looked just like the thing in the diner from Star Wars The Clone Wars!" "Dexter Jettster?''
TOMMY ISN'T CALLING THE SHIP A DACTAR, HE'S TRYING TO CALL THE ALIEN A DAXSTAR. Either Baaulp mixed up the name or thought Tommy would mess up the name, but go back and look at the clip, he's saying this while looking at the alien being blown up by mines, not the ship that went over!
Hell, later on in act 4 he does it again when seeing that alien again in Xen, and Wayne even goes "Ooooh you were calling it Dexter-", before getting distracted. Then the pair both forgot about this between filming and editing.
Yes I've been thinking about this for 3 years now and it's always annoyed me lol. I regularly use the cast commentary as background noise while playing games or making art, and every time this comes up in act 3 I just wanna reach through my screen and shake them.
