"How many times do I have to tell you people?" Casper grumbled at the people standing in the doorway of his little apartment. "I don't care about the Hero League!"

"But your powers would be beneficial to the world!" One of the solicitors argued.

"This world. Yours." Casper sighed, blocking the door despite his short stature. "Remember - this isn't my world. I only came here to try and blend in. I've told you a dozen ti--"

Cass was cut off by an explosion nearby. The hero scouts panicked and got ready for a battle as the villain stepped out of the rubble of a destroyed wall.

"Stay back, villain!" One of the scouts shouted. But the villain waved him off.

"It's not you I want." They pointed to Casper, who was complaining about the damage to his wall. "It's them."

An argument arose among the scouts and the villain. But they sent their underlings to fight the battle for them and weaseled away. It didn't take long for them to locate and approach Casper. He had tried to escape the chaos, but the villain put a hand on his shoulder.

"Casper!" They greeted. As if the pair were old friends.

"Keres," Casper mumbled bitterly. "What do you want?"

"How rude!" Keres pouted. "Can't I visit you without wanting something?"

"Ker, you are physically incapable of that. I'm not joining you. For the last time, I just want a peaceful life."

"But you're akin to a god!" Keres argued. "With your power... we could rule the - I mean, this world!"

"I already rule a world, Keres. I rule three. I don't want to rule another. Especially not one I didn't create. Now get out," Cass ordered, pointing at what was left of the wall. "And fix that wall on your way out!"

Keres, although irritated, did not argue. Instead, they ordered their minions to stop the fight and pile back into the vehicle. A couple stayed behind to fix the wall. Keres hadn't gotten Casper yet, but they could be patient. They would get him eventually. And when they did...
