WEAK HERO CLASS TWO - Episode 05

the suhosieun & bakugotak parallels are actually insane if you think about it

maybe it's just me projecting because they're my favourite pairs from the show but there are just too many similarities to brush it off as coincidence!!

1. soulmates to the grave: suho & sieun. baku & gotak. suho & sieun are each other's best friends & soulmates. baku & gotak are the same for each other. they protect each other, they bicker, they laugh together. baku sleeps at gotak's place when he has a fight with his dad.

2. guardian angels: suho has always been the protector. baku is the protector of the whole school. they’re both the unspoken shields of their best friends, always showing up when things go sideways.

3. crippling guilt: sieun’s greatest wound is suho getting hurt because of him. and baku's greatest wound is gotak getting hurt because of him. they both carry the unbearable weight of believing it’s their fault. even if it wasn't.

4. the obsessive third wheels: beomseok's fixation on suho. baekjin’s twisted obsession with baku. they're the reasons suho & gotak actually got hurt.

5. the combat athletes: suho the boxer. gotak the taekwondo prodigy. both reduced to tragedy after a fight. suho ends up in a coma. gotak is forced to quit his taekwondo career.

6. they don’t want to fight—but they will: suho and baku both hate violence. suho's always asking people to stop when the fights get too serious. and baku has a no-fighting policy for eunjang. but when it’s for their friends? they will. suho's calm shatters. baku’s restraint burns. and they fight.

7. crossing the line for love: suho breaking youngbin’s hand because he hurt sieun’s. baku almost choking someone to death with his bare hands because they laid a finger on gotak. when it's them getting hurt, suho & baku — who never the cross the line — actually end up crossing the line.

8. "he only exists for him": jihoon saying “gotak exists because baku exists.” the director saying “suho solely exists for sieun.”

9. their weaknesses: baekjin uses gotak to manipulate baku into joining the union & threatening to harm suho to torment sieun. everyone knows where the soft spot is.

10. the colors say it all: suho & baku often seen wearing red. sieun & gotak usually in greys & blues.

so like, please get on the bakugotak agenda, because they're literally suhosieun adjacent.

loved your wolf analysis! On that note why do you think wolf Hates Sam so much? He's asking for him when he's dealing with Forrest and he just wants to make grape's life as shit as possible lol. Would love to hear your thoughts!

ahh youre so sweet anon ;-; im glad you liked it i was nervous LOL honestly i think wolf hating sam has a lot to do with his motto of beating up weak people/people who act weak and i might even go as far as to say that sam might be related to why wolf has that motto in the first place due to what we know of their shared past but idk wolf might also just be fucking weird and have no reason ���� it might also just be due to habit ? like they went to the same middle school right so i think with wolf picking on sam for so long he doesn't really know how to else to interact with him and therefore just hates him LMAO ,, i think it'd be cool if we got like in depth backstories for the antagonists of the story like we do for the protagonists ,, jimmy and jack's backstory was really really nice to see and it gave more flavour to their characters other than being crazy and power hungry lol

hi omg !!! i've never been asked to do a character analysis before this is so cool :3 ummmm i will try my best but i can't promise anything super deep or insightful lol i mostly just read for the vibes and the cute dynamics :') sooo yeah i'll just put it under this !!!

i'm not really sure where to start but i think wolf is really interesting in terms of motivation ? because from what i remember (i binged it all and retained like maybe 60% of the content SORRY) he doesn't seem to have a clear background as to Why he fights ,, like jimmy who wants power and just likes to fight or gogo who wants to be dependable on his own so ben doesn't have to shoulder everything by himself ,, wolf is a 'mad dog' and literally everyone calls him that throughout the story because he's explosive and enjoys inflicting pain ie. wolf fights because wolf Wants to fight and he wants to beat up people for no reason which imo is interesting lol ,, i think his character arc is also taking a turn because wolf hates people who are weak or people who act weak (i think he said this during his and gray's fight) and because he's gone undefeated for so long , him losing to gray has shaken his foundation ,, we can see he's different after losing to gray; he doesn't carry himself the same ('i'm the best no one can beat me' that sort of attitude) but he still retains his sadism and core personality ,, i honestly don't know where i'm going with this but i think after losing to gray wolf's philosophy of beating up weak people/people who act weak is being sort of tested because in his mind i think he's thinking about why he couldn't defeat gray who is by most means weaker than him ,, as a side note if wolf manages to get out of the union somehow i think it would cool to see him join eunjang in the final showdown between eunjang vs the union

hey, who's your favourite character in weak hero?

HI ANON !!! i was sleeping when you sent this ;-; BUT i think as of rn my favourite is a toss up between gogo and gray ,, i find gogo really interesting in terms of motivation and his recent chapters have been soo good i really like how he's trying to get stronger because he wants to be able to stand by big ben's side i think he's just a very cool character and i really like his design as well plus i relate to him a lot when it comes to like idk not being able to overcome stuff even when he tries really hard ie. not being able to beat people even after training and stuff ,, with gray i feel like it's pretty easy to tell why i like him and with park jihoon's perfomance as sieun in the kdrama ive developed a new sort of fondness for gray/sieun's character

HI OMG you asked this at the perfect time i just caught up with the webtoon (no fast pass tho im broke) and honestlyyyyyy i really want them to !!! i think jimmy's pride and personality would make an interesting combination with all of eunjang and ovbiously where jimmy goes jack goes LOL idk if it'll actually happen because as of right now i think jimmy is too scared of donald/the union to do anything especially with the stuff that happened with myles and donald reminding jimmy of his attempt to leave ,, i think it's more likely that wolf will join/ally with eunjang before jimmy and once that happens i think jimmy will attempt to as well if wolf's attempt is successful
