A. How is your business? And how did you started it and why?

Rocktest Drilling Services located at P6-A PANADTALAN MARAMAG BUKIDNON. The establishment is own by Violeto A. Tagupa. Violito Tagupa have a working experience for almost 20 years in drilling industry for the fast work that he have. The ROCK DRILLING SERVICES started since 2018 until now to a various project in the Philippines in Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao.

The owner of this drilling services is an elementary graduate only. Because of his persistency and hard work he manage to build a business that could help their family uplift their living. The family life of what he had before is one of the reason why he works very hard in doing this kind of business. Since Mr. Tagupa came from a family of a farmer that only have a minimum income from their farm and sometimes no income due to calamity and pest.

Mr. Tagupa have a belief that he could start a company. Since he had the knowledge for almost 20 years of expertise in drilling services. He manages to secure a machine that could bore a hole for a water supply. At first the business started a small contract until Mr. Tagupa create a name in a drilling services. He expands his business and connect to the Government projects along with the DPWH.

Because of the good management of the owner and a good boss to her worker the Rocktest Drilling Services acquired a million contract to its client specially government project. Since Mr. Tagupa have a good rate than the other drilling Services.

The company uses a diamond drill to hole to its of their project and the company accept the following services: Water Well Drilling, Rock fall Protection System, Soil Nailing and Rock Anchor Works, PP Rope Gabions, Rock fall Nets, Installation of HDPE Liner, Mineral Exploration and Shotcreting.

B. What are the challenges you faced in doing business?

The challenges that we face of by doing this kind of business are Calamity, Damage machine and Damage coupling that could the diamond drill will remain inside the whole. And diamond drill is expensive like the machine that we used in order to operate.

C. Making suggestions for using the NET to expound their business.

One of the helpful tool in promoting our business is using the internet specially Facebook. This is one way on how do we promote our business legitimacy and work done by uploading our projects completion and projects on progress. Today I agree in promoting my business through the internet because it is very helpful.

Dackies Foods

Dackies foods is founded by Elezabeth Bagol Noval since September 18,2011. The Business was located at the p-10 malingao tubod lanao del norte.

Reason: The biggest reason why they started this business is to retired early with their current work at Auckland New Zealand. The company became a medium-sized category business . And their products composed of BANANA CHIPS and pork Crackling Chicharon.

The company suplied all over the Mindanao area and expand to the visayas and luzon for the expansion of the delivery . The products was delivered in every mall like SM ,Gaisano mall and etc.

Challenges: One of the challenges of the company is the pandemic. Which will affect the company sales since many people could not go to the mall and groceries.

A. How is your business? and how did you started it and why? Since the start/beginning of my business, my business is booming since auto repair shop is in demand in our place and also thanks to my welder & technician because they are already well known by our customers. I started my business August 3, 2014, well how it started is because, I found my neighbor the welder got kicked out in his work from his son in law. The reason (classified) then a couple of weeks I decided to help him since I have my own equipment and decided helping each other until today our Auto Repair Shop is a success.

B. What are the challenges you faced in doing business? The challenges I faced in doing business, sometimes there is a time when there are no customers, also an accident/minor injuries, also sometimes there will be a a lot of customers waiting, lacking of an assistant for our welder and technician because they do their work solo but sometimes there son help them when there is no class.

C. Making suggestions for using the NET to expound their business *Since their place of their Shop is in the highway, customers found easily their workplace.

*We suggested that their signage should be put on a post and make it bigger to attract more customers.

They started during Pandemic. Through free delivery with minimum and Maximum with in the City, but has shipping fee if outside the area. Since, people need to stay at home for their safety. Small business entrepreneur started it because it’s a big help for the people, and also their family to survived during the Pandemic.

B. What are the challenges you faced in doing business?

The challenges they faced doing business, sometimes people think you are not legit, they think you are a Joy seller its because online , all you do is to proved to your costumer. C. She applied already the online selling.

We interview small business entrepreneurs and one of them is Ms. Dorothy the business she have is selling dry goods and food. She started last 3 months after the pandemic started. She add that due to pandemic she observed that everyone can’t go out buy or travel because of lockdown. The essential needs of people makes her decide to start her business.

The challenges she encountered on her business is they will order the product but didn’t pay, can’t pay the exact price, they will also owe your product and takes long time to pay.

We suggested to Ms. Dorothy to expound her business is to have a page in social media, so she will have more customers and her business will grow.

Mr and Mrs Talasan Isdaan

A. How is your business? and how did you started it and why?

Mr. and Mrs. Ronnie Talasan is one of the owners of the fish business in Lumbia Public Market. They did not expect their business to grow because none of them graduated from the business course. Mr. Ronnie Talasan is a former foreman and his wife is just at home. According to Mr. Ronnie, they went through a lot of business such as grocery store and piggery but did not grow. And right now their current business started because of a friend who introduce them, so on September 10, 2010 on Monday the fish business started and has grown until now. The reason they decided to start a business was because they wanted an extra income but because the business grew so much they gave it more time and eventually left being a foreman.

B. What are the challenges you faced in doing business?

According to Mrs. Talasan: Since the fish business was growing more then the challenges also such as jealousy of your neighbor who also has a fish business and increasing the price of fish. But despite these challenges, they didn't reach the point where they had to stop the business, they were more stable and they just let it go and never mind what they heard from those people because whatever you do if people really want to ruin you, you can't control it and if you try it will just start the chaos. We are just thankful to GOD and to the customers who still bought fishes with us. If the price of fish goes up, way back then we will not bought fishes from the fisherman but now because you have been in the business for a long time and people know you and you have a lot of customers, you can bargain more and sell fish every day.

A. How is your business? and how did you started it and why?

My current business is Distribution of SAMAK MAIS KAPE PLUS. Started. January 7, 2021 Ill choose this kind of business because it is consumable and affordable to the market . Since Filipino people love on drinking coffee . And I believe doing this business I support the local business company. And I do believe this products would benefit a lot of people specially to the coffee Lover . Because this type of product I sell to the market is HERBAL.

B. What are the challenges you faced in doing business?

The challenges I encountered in doing this business is the war price in the market... Then the climate that I encountered when I distributed it to each store. And also the pandemic today that we encountered I was really careful in every transaction I made doing my business.

C. Making suggestions for using the NET to expound their business.

And so far Since I started this business my capital was getting tripled and today I can dispose each month up to 400 packs to 450 packs every month. Specially when I post it to the social media . A lot of customers who bought my products and until today it was profitable.
