SYNOPSIS . . .

Five years after the end of the disastrous war between Marley and the Eldian Empire; social, economic and political peace treaties with each other were one step closer to end the sharp tension between the two nations. So when you and a group of eldians earn an once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to study at the prestigious Marley University, you believe you are taking your first step toward a better future.  However, you soon realize that not everyone is happy with your presence. Because in Marley, the real enemy is not always who you think it is.

“Okay, is everyone ready?” asked Miss Miller, who had been sent by the university to accompany them on the flight and make sure they arrived safe and sound. After what happened with Hitch, you figured the university didn’t want any more scandals or attention drawn to the situation.

You and Sasha were still in line, while Connie was a few people behind you. Sasha kept shifting from side to side or grabbing your hands to try to calm her nerves.

“What’s wrong with you? You look like you had three cups of coffee before coming here,” you said, laughing at your friend’s nervous behavior.

“Well… maybe I did have two or three cups of coffee before coming,” she admitted, staring at the floor to avoid your gaze.

“Sasha!” you said in a scolding tone, worried about how much caffeine the brunette had consumed.

“What? I couldn’t sleep, and I figured that since I didn’t get any rest, I needed the coffee so I wouldn’t be tired today,” she said in a small voice, clearly embarrassed by her confession.

“I get it, I barely slept either. I ended up watching a movie to calm my nerves,” you admitted, checking the time on your phone.

“Next,” said the woman in charge of boarding.
