Lost Love
You're here but you feel so far away What's the point in apologizing anymore when we both know neither of us are at fault. We know the blame falls on the hands of time. Time that sweeps us away for days, working in the hopes that a small percentage of our earnings can be spent in each other's company. But far more likely our pocket change will never be enough to even see each other from a distance let alone touch each other. What I would give to just have one day with you where you don't have to leave early and aren't so exhausted. Sometimes I can just feel a little part of my hope ripped away for every missed opportunity. We keep saying one day, but I'm terrified that day will never come.
