Whatever Kirby’s business was in the training wing didn’t matter, T.A. Peabody the Android(tm) didn’t recognize them and he had his phasers set to ‘scold’

“These are important facilities meant only for the students of the amity aviation program which (according to my records) you are NOT! Explain yourself, this instant! I’ll have you know ~trespassing~ is a major offense...” He printed a ticket from his chest, metal fingers snatching it from the slot. “Take this and...”

“Peabody! My right hand, light of my life...” Sugar couldn’t listen to this anymore, reaching over the stranger’s shoulder and plucking the ticket from the android’s fingers. “I’m gonna have to stop you right there, partner.” She didn’t examine it. One hand waved the ticket, the other arm wrapped around Kirby’s shoulder, “While I just... love.. when you write people up, this is all a big misunderstanding. This here is a friend of mine, I asked them to swing by.”

The android’s eyes narrowed.

“...You... But Pilot Watts --”

“Have I ever told you how much I appreciate all your hard work, Pea?” Sugar turned Kirby by the shoulders, walking them in front of her down the hall and away from the android, “You’re just... so overbearing, I love that about you!” She called over her shoulder. “Great work! I’ll take it from here!” It didn’t take much schmoozing to pacify the android and soon enough they were far enough away for her to tear up the little slip of paper.  “Don’t mind Peabody. He means well. But, yeah, he doesn’t have the authority to give out tickets...” They gave Kirby their space, quirking a brow, “You work at The Cap, don’t you? You gonna tell me what you’re doin’ in my neck of the woods? Or is that on a need to know basis?”

🎭 Acting, 💻 Computer Literacy, and 🏈 Sports!

🎭 Acting

Sugar has never acted a day in her life… You would think she’d be comfortable on stage because she’s so confident but she never really had any chance to perform in that way. The closest thing she has to that is flying. I think she’d enjoy doing some dinner theater or improv lol something on a small scale and noncommittal but it’s definitely not ~her thing.~

In fact, while she definitely doesn’t have stage fright when, say, singing karaoke or speaking in front of crowds having a script she’d need to memorize might foul her up.

💻 Computer Literacy

Shug is pretty good with tech. Not bad, not the best. If she needs some major work done on her face mod she’d refer to Ari or Devon or Gidge. For minor things that are out of her pay grade I’m SURE she bugs Andi (but only when necessary). Sugar likes to be self sufficient but was never as technically inclined as her brother was.

🏈 Sports

Sugar loves sports and as I’m sure y’all can imagine is good at them. As I’ve mentioned she is a competitive lifter and has quite the collection of medals and trophies from the Lunar Lifting Association. She likes to run and swim. Fun fact: She’s not big on boxing for no particular reason.

When she was in school she played space!rugby and star!softball and threw shot put. It’s honestly a wonder she managed to graduate without more than two whole concussions. She’s pretty proud of that.

💬 Social Interaction

Sugar is an extrovert to the point she'll start to feel drained when alone for too long... She loves interacting with people and making them laugh. She's definitely a person that just has this infectious warm energy about her -- she likes to make people feel good. That said, she easily can get on more introverted people's nerves, I'm sure... *cough* @unchartedstarmaps *cough* But she means well. (Enough.)

⚔ Fighting (can be a specific style or weapon or in general)

As alluded to, Sugar is very fit; They have an athletic build and competitively lift. That said, they're definitely more of a lover than a fighter. They also aren't one to get into fights, more often than not breaking them up. People also don't tend to try and start 'ish with Shug -- she's well known and well liked.

Fun fact: Sugar doesn't see herself getting any more mods. Her current one keeps her alive/helps her see but as far as modifications to her body goes she, personally, prefers to see how far she can push herself without the help of tech. She's an athlete through and through and is always striving to beat her own personal best. Fun fact 02: Sugar has excellent aim. Her face mod does help with that. Fun fact 03: Sugar BRIEFLY considered going into the military as a fighter pilot. She definitely could pass all the physical requirements but lol could you imagine? Yeah, no. Too many rules. Too conforming.

I. What makes them feel safe?

A hug from their mom, even when her illness makes her think Sugar is still a child and not an adult.

Her dad’s old pilot’s jacket she wears constantly.

Funnily enough, routine. Chaotic that Shug’s routine is.

🎤 Singing

…Does singing in the shower count? Lol Sugar isn’t tone deaf but she’s not a professional by any means either.

That said, she does like to sing and can often be heard singing or whistling as she walks the halls or while working. She’s not too bad.

Fun fact: Sugar loves karaoke 👏🏽 SO MUCH.

🩰 Dancing

Oh. Sugar can cut up a dance floor. They’re not professionally trained or anything but they can dance.

They really like the feeling of being in a crowd and feeling bodies against hers as they all move to the same beat. She also really likes the intimacy that dancing with someone provides.

Fun fact: Sugar can roller skate and is the first in the rink at the space roller disco.

🍳 Cooking and/or Baking

Shug can cook pretty well (though she insists she’ll never be as good as her mother is or father was). Sugar has fond memories of cooking in the kitchen with her father when he was off work. It didn’t happen often but he was much less stringent than her mother and far more open to breaking the recipe.

Now baking… Baking’s a whole other ballpark. Ironically, Sugar cannot bake to save her life.

Fun fact: No one on this god damn ship is better at the grill than Sugar is. She is a bbq master and learned all her secrets from her father. Her brisket? Out of this solar system.
