I did a fairground. This fairground has exibition, performing, shopping, stands, eating and entertainment areas. People come this fair with one main approach.  I put exibition firstly because people usually don’t go exibition, so everybody must visit exibition in order to entry this fair, and then, they can go whatever they want after exibition.
People can go entertainment area with circular motion. This area is middle in this project because everybody can arrive easily. I did a path with trees. They give people a direction. And this area has stands. Therefore, people can visit all stands with this effect. And last special thing is that semi open area. This area is very important with location. It is near to eating area. Also, it contains performing area and up path. Therefore, people who are in performing area can rest under of shelter. Moreover, other people who are in upstairs  can rest, too. Also, people can buy foods, and come under of shelter. Therefore, while they eat their foods, they can watch perfonmance in up path.

This project is related to METU library and project is done with group working. We look special data before we did it.They are walking, sitting, animals and people who talk their phones. We specified them according to place, so we chose one place which people are very crowded.
Firstly, we did a ramp because there is a beton and it is higher abaut 50 cm than place. We thought that people can walk easily thanks to this ramp. Also, people with disabilities can use this ramp in order to entry library.
Secondly, we used folding method. When we did this, we never damage trees. We thougth trees firstly, and then, we fold. Therefore, we created some shade areas for people and animals. People can go directly or they can sit this areas. Animals can sit and they can sleep.

For final jury, I used two different groups as A and B. A group has sticks and if we use A group without sticks , it is A’ . A’ is the biggest and the most important group because my design concept is dominance , so A’ has a bir role. B group has curve elements. Now, I want to explain design concept. My design concept is dominance, so I used different COLOR and SCALE, and RELATIONSHIPS. A’ is different in terms of Scale and color. It is yellow and it is 8 times bigger than all the other groups. Also, all the other groups are connected A’ . Therefore, A’ is my dominant element. I connected all groups to A’ but I ignored relationships of small groups with each other because I want to emphasize relationship of A’ with all the other groups. Also, small groups are black and grey.

My design concept is dominance. I have 2 different groups, and I used them different scale. I used A group only in the biggest group. I added middle groups as A and B groups, and the smallest groups are connected the middle groups. Also, two of smallest groups are connected the biggest group.
Moreover, I used color in order to emphasize dominance concept, so the biggest group is yellow, and all of the other groups include grey and black colors.

After the jury, we started to work for final jury and I realize, I should update diagram and groups. I used two groups for design. When I do this, I used rotate and mirror. As a different other design, we used sticks and curves in the design and I connected groups according to diagram.
Finally, I used hierarchy concept and I wanted to give that with voids. These voids have scale ordering. In other words, hiearchy is created scale ordering of voids.

This is my jury design. I did two groups and that groups are seen in this photos. In this design, ı used all of the colors which are black, white and two tones of grey. I wanted to do depth with these colors. Thus, I used them each of all groups.
Secondly, I wanted to do hierarchy concept with voids. Voids in this design are big, medium and small. Moreover, they are connected as small- medium and medium-big. Therefore, I created one system for hierarchy.

This design is last design before jury. In this design, I used colors and these are black, white and two different tone grey. I wanted to create dominance concept with color and scale. Central in this design is big and black and white and I added smallest and grey groups in this big group’s environment.

In this design, I create void floading and I tried to pay attention about don’t do lost of identity. I wanted to create hiearacyh concept with space in central. One space is the biggest, the other is medium and the last one is the smallest.

I planned, I did 1 big void and this void flowed constantly. When I did this, ı did lost of identity because square and rectangle didn’t be side by side but void flowed constantly like labyrinth.

The concept of rhythm in art represents the easy movement of the viewer’s eyes following a regular arrangement or reproduction of elements in the art work. In this work is made use of line to create the illusion of depth. A simple rhythm is set up between the mirror images on top and below, the warping in the lines helps create shape and form in the image.

We started void floading with this design. I wanted to create void floading but I didn’t be succesful enough. I did two groups again and connected them to create void floading.

This is exercise5c. I did two groups for this design. One group has 2 rectangles and 1 triangle in central. Second group has 2 square and 1 rectangle. Actually, before this design we learned some concepts which is dominance and cotrast and I did dominance concept in this design. I did one big group and the others are smaller, therefore I tried to do dominance concept.

In this design, I did two groups. One group includes 1 square in central and its each sides 2 rectangle, 2 triangle and the other group 2 parelellograms but one of them in cenral, 2 square are connected it neigbor sides and finally, other paralellogram is connected to 2 squares. These two groups connected as first group is central and second group is next to first group.

Hierarchy is the comparison of dimensions or distribution of forms. It is the relationship in scale between one element and another, or between a whole object and one of its parts. This example has proportion of circle. All circles are inside each other and chanching is only dimensions.

Contrast is simply defined as difference. Difference between art elements like color, value, size, texture, and so on can intensify the elements used. As a result, the elements used in a work of art can become more powerful. Although contrast is closely related with variety, it is usually considered a principle of art. It is easy to understand how color can create contrast. For example, complementary colors provide a high level of contrast. Complementary colors are colors that are located directly across from each other on the color wheel. Red and green, blue and orange, and purple and yellow are all examples of this, and this photo has these contrast color.

Claude Monet - Sunrise (1872) Compare any two elements in a design. Either the elements will be equal in every way or one will exert some level of dominance over the other. The more dominant element will attract the eye and get noticed first. It might even appear to exhibit some sort of control over the less dominant element. We can establish dominance around the elements. For example, we can change size, shape, COLOR(like this), value etc. Monet’s painting of a sunrise is dominated by a cool green/grey. This cool color occupies around three quarters of the painting and is relieved, in the upper sky, by a pale warm orange, intensifying as it approaches the rising sun. The sun is the direct complementary color to the surrounding sky, creating a shimmering intensity. By allowing the green/grey to dominate, the red/orange of the sun is injected with maximum intensity.
