Although he would return heavily encumbered by fossils, rock samples and the bodies of interesting wildlife, Darwin carried as little as possible on these trips, and only ever packed one book to read (usually Milton's Paradise Lost) and a single notebook.

From what Iāve seen, itās usually because people are dangerous to the animals. Like if they get too close to the city, people start feeding them and petting them and domesticating them. (Not bad in theory) but then once the animal is good and calm and trusting around people, they usually end up dead as some fucked up ābecause I couldā conquest.
ā it does suck when youāre living in a budding town that used to be miles of forested land and is now just apartments and people are upset about their lil dogs going missing from displaced coyotes. Like, I get forcing them out, but this was their place first, where are they meant to go?
All of it is bad and all of it feels wrong
random but itās really crazy that we live in a world that people will feel like they have to call animal control over animals simply existing on their own.
Yeah the deer is walking on the side walk, this is their world too.
but maybe thereās a good reason for them calling animal control, maybe the deer will get hit or something, I donāt know Iām not educated on this topic. I just think itās wild that we live in a world where they canāt exist on their own because of us
