It was a rough day.

Josh had gone riding with a past friend/lover, far away from the mountain for once, because his sisters urged him to get back into society.

He had been a social butterfly and the life of any party when he walked into the room, invited to it or not.

Unfortunately, his friend's mother had fell and had to go to the hospital; him trailing right after her after multiple apologies. Josh understood, truly, but now he was alone. With a bunch of people.

A bunch of people who were probably making fun of the way he looked behind his back.

His first instinct was to climb a tree in the park; opting to just walk behind it and slide down to it's base with his hands over his masked face.

At least it was mostly unpopulated at the park he'd ducked in.

He tensed further when he sensed someone walking towards him, but he couldn't stop crying to see who it was, only just barely able to get a scent and not lash out at the person.

Josh knew that scent.

Once they'd gotten beside him, he managed out a weak "H..hey.. Long time n-no see, huh?.."

Although, it was still 'no see' as the other was on his blind side.

He just studied the bodies in front of him for a moment, leaning back into his sister and giving a little chuffing purr. He wasn’t used to the sounds coming from him yet, but at least he could communicate with her easily. 

Horror gore never bothered him, either. 

After a moment of resting, Josh leaned forward; trying to figure out where to bite on the stranger.

And he truly did miss his friends. but.. He was a freak now.  A.. monster. As his therapist put it.

Every time he thought that word, Dr. Hill’s voice was in his mind.

Tears were pricking at his eyes when he registered Mike coming closer, and he retreated against the wall until he couldn’t go any further.  Too close. Too Close. He’ll get hurt, too close.

Although, that didn’t stop him from losing his breath at the kiss and leaning into it. 

Once he pulled away, Josh could breathe easier, and he slowly nodded. “’Za sounds good..”

He sighed, clacking his teeth behind the cloth mask. Josh never meant it as a threat, he simply did it in thought now. As far as he was concerned, his family was religious. He. Wasn’t. Not now, at any rate. What god would do this to his family?  “It.. I-”

“…It’s fine.” A couple of steps back before he leaned against the wall; a growl like sigh escaping his lips soon after. Right. This poor man and his mangled hands. “That was funny though, gotta admit.”

His hands came up, feeling at the mask to make sure it was covering his mouth properly before turning to face Mike’s handywork; adjusting the banner out of his blind spot. 

“…No one’s coming..” a muttered phrase just a hair above a whisper before another clack of the teeth; this time his hand going over his mouth over the mask to stop it.

Josh tipped his head to the side slightly as he watched him put a hand to his back before he glanced back up; listening to the other talk. 

A twitch of the shoulders was his only response to the sass at first; them tensing in place before he shook himself out of it and reached over with his claws to tap the wall with a forced snort laugh. “Bruh.. I can scale this bitch.”

Listening further, however, made the inhuman joker lose his facade. At least the mask hid his smirk dropping. Yes, he was talking about a fake girlfriend. But.. well. It still hurt that his absolute best friend. His right half, if he was honest, was away from him for so long. Chris probably had gotten someone by now, if Ashley released her claws on him. 

Matt.  Josh seemed to have the same thought; turning and looking where Hannah’s room was before in the cabin. 

A growling purr rumbled in his chest at Mike’s display, causing him to back up slightly embarrassed. There was no hiding how he felt sometimes with the animalistic sounds that escaped him. 

The food thought did pop in there, but thank the elders the mask hid his drool as he got hold of himself. “I-uh.. yeah.”
