wow, first "trans men are the men of the trans community" is anti-transmasc, then "i'd choose the bear" is anti-transmasc, now "birthday boy" is anti-transmasc -- it's almost as though any criticism of men (not even trans men, men in general!!!) that doesn't leave a footnote saying "trans men specifically are immune to participating in this misogynistic behaviour and have no privilege over trans women" is immediately spun as transphobic towards trans men. it's almost as if this is all just a massive cover to enable them to keep being transmisogynistic to trans women without complaint!

nah i'm kidding. what's really going on is that, for a gene to be a consistent across ALL beings that share an ancestry, it's pretty much baked into what it means to be that kind of living being. although porygon is artificially coded, it was still built by manually programming a genome that contains the shiny gene.
there's a pretty popular theory right now that what makes something a pokemon is the presence of a certain type of bioenergy (the same kind that devon processes into what they've named "infinity energy"), and being infused with that energy is how nonorganic objects such as gears and pokéballs become pokemon. this same theory then claims in tandem that the genes shared across all pokemon are directly tied into this energy. it's something that will probably take us many more years to fully understand, though.
