The most important scene to me that no one has discussed is the scene before Maeve goes under for her abortion.

Asleep by The Smiths starts playing (and oh GOD, the best song to get my crying) and it so quietly illustrates the anxiety and relief she is going through. She lightly talks to the doctor and suddenly she’s out. And don’t even get me started on Maeve giving her chocolate mousse to the woman in the other hospital bed. That was so damn sweet. And for her to say “I think your kids really love you.” Then twenty minutes later you see a photo of her mom and it looks just like that woman I-

The writers did such a good job with this specific scene.
