I'll add some examples in case anyone is confused. In scenario A 'being told how I'll die but not when', let's say you're told you'll die in a car wreck, but you don't know how much longer you have left to live. In scenario B 'being told when I'll die but not how' you're told something like 'you'll die on the day of April 18th, 2038' but you don't know what will be the cause of it.

Also assume that these statements are absolute truths that you can't do anything to change, if you tried that would just end up being a part of the chain of events that ultimately led to your demise ala cosmic irony. No nuance options, you're stuck with one or the other.
