I have a theory as to why Luigi is possibly facing the death penalty.

They don’t want us putting him on a pedestal or attending protests to speak, or attending rallies TO SPEAK.

Just think about the fact that the ONLY time we’ve heard his voice was when he was transferred to Pennsylvania (or wherever that was when he was being ushered into the court and he yelled and was pushed inside).
