make youtube bearable by using mtube, newpipe, or the unhook extension on chrome, firefox, or microsoft edge

use search for a cause or ecosia to support the environment instead of google

use thriftbooks to buy new or used books (they also have manga, textbooks, home goods, CDs, DVDs, and blurays)

use flashpoint to play archived online flash games

find books, movies, games, etc. on the internet archive! for starters, here's a bunch of David Attenborough documentaries and all of the Animorphs books

burn your music onto cds

use pdf24 (available online or as a desktop app) instead of adobe

use unroll.me to clean your email inboxes

use thunderbird, mailfence, countermail, edison mail, tuta, or proton mail instead of gmail

remove bloatware on windows PC, macOS, and iOS X

remove bloatware on samsung X

use pixelfed instead of instagram or meta

use NCH suite for free software like a file converter, image editor, video editors, pdf editor, etc.

Thinking about the paralelism on their relationship really hard

both Angel and Penny have spent their whole lifes trying to prove they're not like their father/brother, both think that person has ruined their lives in some way. Yet they've formed a ''bond'' so similar to them.

Penny doesn't see Angel as a master and Angel knows she just wants easy cash, he still wants to help someone in need anyway, that need to 'save' someone else via teaching is something he inherited from his father. yet he'll never recognize it because he can only see his worst side.

Penny enjoys the attention, she's spiteful, she can't see past herself and projects on other people, these are all Rick traits we've seen. She didn't have the support Spender had (close friends 'supportive' adults role models) and she has become the person she is today because she had to survive all by herself individually. Because she was left behind by someone who replaced her when he found someone who could fill her role.

The same way Francisco has so many people around him who see him like a father

Francisco sees the worst in Rick. he's a ticking bomb he's going to fail no matter how optimist he is. Angel sees the best in Penny, he wants to only think the best of her. Both on opposites sites deep down they just want to protect a child

Angel and Penny live solitary lives. they're been isolated by their families and the spirit world. Francisco and Spender are big figures on both worlds for different reasons, they're sociable and live full of people, they're big fish and public faces in the spirit world in ways that Angel and Penny don't want to be. And still in secret Angel has become the face of a cult the same way Francisco ""is"" and Penny has probably been affected by a Wight in some way like Spender.

They try to run away from who they don't want to be in a way that they have become a constant reminder of it
