a   chuckle   slithers   up   her   throat.    ❝   you   do   when   i'm   lookin'   to   ride   ,   ❞   she   replies   smootly   ,   eyebrows   raising   to   get   a   rising   reply   out   of   him.   she   shakes   her   head   as   she   leads   them   out   to   a   spot   on   the   dance   floor   ,   a   good   few   feet   away   from   the   other   bodies   near   them.   she   giggles   -   actually   giggles   -   as   he   spins   her   around.   when   she   comes   back   to   him   ,   her   arms   lazily   slip   around   his   neck.    ❝   now   ,   now   ,   ace.   i   know   you   can   move   at   least   a   little   bit.   ❞   she   steps   closer   so   their   bodies   are   flush   against   each   other.    ❝   so   show   me   i'm   not   wastin'   my   time   ,   ❞   she   whispers   against   his   lips   before   hers   come   crashing   down   on   them. 

 do   i   look   anything   like   a   cowboy?"   he   smirked   teasing   her   words   before   he   takes   her   hand   letting   her   lead   the   way.   "i'm   gettin'   to   be   an   old   man,   miss   allen   -   ain't   no   swingin'   anymore."   fingers   delicately   trace   her   hand   and   twist   it   slowly   to   make   her   spin   around.    "now   you   know   i   ain't   never   been   a   dancer."

there   had   been   a   commotion   up   front   in   the   middle   of   jasper   treating   an   older   male's   wounds   in   the   small   corner   he'd   been   given.   both   heads   turn   towards   the   noise   ,   but   all   jasper   can   see   are   three   people   barking   orders   at   someone   who   has   apparently   ignored   the   rules   and   walked   straight   past   them.   a   small   smirk   curls   jasper's   lips.   the   male   sat   before   him   ,   edward   ,   shakes   his   head.    ❝   damned   kids   thinking   they   can   just   do   whatever   the   hell   they   want   to   ,   ❞   he   grumbles.   his   gaze   turns   to   jasper   and   he   pauses.    ❝   'cept   you   ,   kid.   you   seem   like   a   good   one.   ❞   oh   ,   if   only   he   knew   the   amount   of   trouble   jasper   always   managed   to   get   himself   into   and   the   amount   of   'rules'   he   had   broken   just   to   get   a   good   video. 

he   finishes   patching   up   edward   and   then   sends   him   off.   he   stands   to   stretch   and   is   approached   by   the   girl   at   the   front.   she   tells   him   there's   a   young   man   who   sped   past   them   towards   the   showers   that   looked   as   though   he   needed   help.   i   sigh.   why   me   ?    ❝   'cause   you're   the   best   ,   riggins   ,   ❞   she   replies   simply.    ❝   now   get   in   there.   ❞   he   turns   away   from   her   and   heads   towards   the   bathroom   ,   aid   kit   in   hand   ,   noting   how   quiet   it   is.   the   male   who   helped   himself   in   here   must   be   the   only   one   in   the   area. 

he   thinks   better   than   to   call   out   for   him   for   he   might   run.   but   it   doesn't   take   long   for   jasper   to   hear   the   sounds   of   the   shower   running   and   beeline   straight   for   them.   there   ,   he   finds   the   young   male   -   an   impossibly   attractive   male   possibly   around   his   age   standing   at   one   of   the   lockers   in   the   shower   room.   jasper   has   to   force   himself   to   blink   ,  twice   ,   before   he   speaks.    ❝    uh   ,   they   told   me   that   -   ❞   he   begins   to   say   ,   but   is   cut   off   by   the   other.    ❝   no   ,   no.   you   don't   need   to   leave.   i   just   want   to   patch   you   up   ,   ❞   he   tells   him   as   he   licks   over   his   lips   that   are   now   suddenly   dry. 

when   the   male   gives   the   slightest   answer   of   an   okay   ,   jasper   nods   and   takes   a   seat   ,   waiting   until   the   other   does   as   well   before   opening   his   kit.   he   can   spot   some   possible   wounds   right   off   the   bat   ,   and   immediately   begins   to   tend   to   those.   he   flinches   at   the   exclamations   coming   from   the   other's   mouth   ,   but   ignores   them   as   he   begins   his   wound   care.   his   hands   move   gently   across   what   looks   to   be   bruised   ribs   ,   only   putting   the   medicine   on   anything   that   looks   like   it   might   cause   infection.   but   he   also   feels   for   broken   bones   ,   in   case   this   male   might   need   to   go   to   the   emergency   room   instead. 

 ❝    if   you   don't   mind   me   asking   ,   ❞   he   starts   after   a   notable   length   of   silence.    ❝   what   happened   to   you   ?   ❞   he   asks   softly   as   his   eyes   lift   to   meet   the   other's   gaze.   his   hands   continue   to   work   ,   but   they   slow   as   jasper   seemingly   gets   lost   in   those   piercing   blues   sat   before   him.   he   clears   his   throat   as   he   forces   himself   to   look   away   and   instead   focus   on   the   lip   that   looks   like   it   might   become   infected   soon.    ❝   y   -   you   know   ,   you   don't   have   to   answer   that   if   you   don't   want   to.   i   was   just   curious   .   .   .   .   .   ❞   he   quickly   adds   as   he   tries   to   recover.   he   just   hopes   his   ever   curious   self   didn't   fuck   this   up   and   force   the   male   to   run   from   him.
