GRAVITY WELLNESS CENTER ANNOUNCES PLANS FOR NEW LOCATION, EXPANSION
GARDEN CITY, KS – Gravity Wellness Center recently purchased the former Golden Dragon building at 1106 N Campus Dr., and is preparing to kick off the renovations.
The building’s size, central location, and proximity to local hotels were among the main factors influencing owner and CEO Kristi Schmitt’s decision.
“I just fell in love with the building,” Schmitt said. “We have big plans to expand our services and we’ll need the extra space.”
Gravity Wellness, which opened in June 2016 at 911 N Main St., offers non invasive treatments for conditions such as rosacea, hyper pigmentation, acne scars, stretch marks, loose skin, wrinkles, cellulite and more. Their expanded services will include Float Therapy.
“Float therapy is an excellent way to recover from injury, relieve stress, and improve physiological and mental health,” Schmitt said. “We’re especially excited about what it can do for cancer patients and for those suffering from PTSD.
The treatment involves lying down in a floatation tank with 6-12 inches of sterile water set at body temperature. The water is filtered after each use and contains nearly 1,000 pounds of medical-grade Epsom salts to ensure that anyone can float. Flotation tanks are sometimes referred to as sensory deprivation chambers because they offer a completely light-proof and sound-proof experience.
The remodel of the new location is expected to complete in late spring 2017.
Please continue to check our blog for updates and photos of the remodel.
