unnamed stand idea
destructive power: D speed: B range: E stamina: D precision: C development potential: C
DESC: this stand allows it's user to inherit properties typically associated with stands, while the stand remains invisible. anyone using this ability can fly, only be seen by stand users, and pass through walls. however, properties such as defense and power do not carry over. in a sense, the stand becomes the user, while the user becomes the stand(despite the user being the one in control and the stand being invisible).
it is a relatively weak stand in terms of power and defense, but it's speed and abilities mean that it's user can elude capture by authorities who don't use stands, and even regular stand users through their powers of flight and phasing. however, if enough stand users are aware of it's presence, they can easily convince the authorities of the user's traits.

According to a 2024 interview with the creators of the Nintendo 64 platformer Glover, they have been in talks with Nintendo regarding publishing the game. Shigeru Miyamoto personally suggested that the game should be made part of the Mario franchise and be titled "Mario's Glove".
A mock-up of the logo for that scenario was made, shown above, but the developers ultimately decided to keep the game as their own original IP.

i saw spilled blueberries at the costco today...
...and i saw foods in the cart that i didn't recognize when putting them in the car...
...hmm...
stand name: 「trapped in the drive-thru」 (alt name: caught in the check-out line)
destructive power: E speed: B range: A stamina: B precision: B development potential: D
desc: this self-replicating colony-type stand takes the form of "wayward foods" at stores(spilled fruit on the floor, extra food boxes caught behind the shelves in the freezer, items in your shopping cart you don't remember picking up, and ketchup packets in your mcdonalds meal that are mysteriously open), sometimes in large numbers. when someone interacts with the foods in any form(by stepping on spilled blueberries, picking up a box off the ground, consuming a unexpectedly-open ketchup pack from the mcdonalds, ETC.), 「trapped in the drive-thru」 will activate.
a member of the colony will exit the blueberry/box/whatever, and insert itself inside that person's body, before absorbing part of the person's soul inside itself while still remaining in the body. the part of the soul is still within the body- it's just in 「trapped in the drive-thru」, and cannot function.
this has various effects, such as a person's personality being suppressed, which deprives a person of motives to do something- for example, a person who hunts down crooks as a result of a desire for justice won't even care about doing so, because that desire is gone. because of how stands are linked to peoples' psychology, 「trapped in the drive-thru」 can also suppress stand abilities.
「trapped in the drive-thru」 can also spread it's influence by invisibly deploying a self-replicated clone from one of it's victims, before proceeding to manifest itself as "wayward foods" once again.
altogether, this stand can exert a hidden, shadowy influence over entire cities, making it very dangerous. but it has a weakness- sometimes the colony members within the "wayward foods" will get bored of waiting around and start conversing, resulting in them being noticed by stand users, who will proceed to use caution, and perhaps do some investigation.
stands like 「on little cat feet」(yes, that's the name i'm giving my idea) can also be used to test whether "wayward foods" truly belong to 「trapped in the drive-thru」, as the dummies will not only shrivel up a bit and become paler once contacted, but also hold colony members inside for interrogation.

just got my hands on the list of prompts for mermay 2025, and, uh...
it seems like the prompts are more about telling stories in art than fleshing out characters and races.
like, oasis? gemini? psychedelic? drama? eccentric? and what the frick is a cabaret?
there are not a lot of species-oriented prompts... there's axolotl and exoskeleton, but i already drew an axolotl, and i have no idea how to implement an exoskeleton in a monster girl species(SPECIFICALLY a mermaid species, at that!) without making her like thing from the fantastic four.
i had a few ideas for some of the prompts, like peach, miyazaki, and beachgoth(IE; princess peach, a studio ghibli character, and gaz membrane(who isn't really a goth IMO, but enough people call her one)), but i don't want to draw peach or a studio ghibli character, and i don't have enough willpower to draw gaz as a mermaid.
i think i'll keep drawing monster girls in general this may. yeah, that sounds good...

you know what i hate?
the monster girl encyclopedia.
wanna know why?
they come up with all these creative concepts for monster girls with simplistic and cool designs(THE MANTICORE HAS A FREAKING ALIEN MOUTH ON IT'S TAIL). you have the basic monster girls, like harpies, mermaids, and centauresses, but you also have variants like that one dark harpy, and even monster girls taking inspiration from folklore, like selkies and tengus.
but guess what the monster girl encyclopedia actually is? it's pr0n.
that's right. slime girls eat milk(and not the kind that goes with cereal), the playing card girls commit highly illegal crimes i can't even explain without upsetting some of my followers, and other ridiculously explicit stuff.
it's more like a pr0n novel than an actual bestiary about monster girl worldbuilding. it doesn't even do what i want it to do, which is why i'm not looking for a substitute for it.
there IS a "monster girl manual" i've heard about, but i'm not sure whether it's about worldbuilding or if it's just gonna be some cheesy girlish stuff(instead of the "cool" stuff i prefer, like character design with attitude or "cool" animal body parts like that manticore mouth tail thing).
so yeah. i'm probably gonna have to get assistance with my interest in MG's, soon.

ok, so you know how i have this fear of ratings?
well, i realized something.
ratings tell you what's in a game, right? but if a game has certain objectionable things, then it is to be avoided, and if you DO own it, then you have something to be ashamed about.
this is also why i have an issue with pizza tower potentially getting a T rating- it is mostly on the PG side, so seeing it lumped in the same category as things like super meat boy(decapitated crying squirrel and other edgy jokes) and need for speed: the run(illegal street race and cop beating-up simulator) is VERY unjust and makes it look worse than it really is. this is also the reason that splatoon and pikmin 4 being lumped in with games like shantae(thots upon thots), shadow the hedgehog(war crime simulator), and undertale(FOUR FREAKING SUICIDE REFERENCES) is an issue.
as a side note, transformers: devastation just has a simple "fantasy violence" and a T rating, which is very simple, and can be attributed to a small lapse in judgement on the ESRB's behalf. whereas giving pizza tower too many descriptors(cartoon violence, blood, crude humor, language, use of alcohol and tobacco) makes it look like a miniature family guy, south park, or rick & morty with NO WAY for families or newcomers to PT to know that it's PG for the most part, with most of the problems either being small or easily explained(the blood is PG visual gags with no on-screen violence associated with it, most of the crude humor is fart jokes despite being in a T-rated game, the alcohol and tobacco is PG stereotypes(smoking city slicker, alcohol in a cowboy saloon, ETC.) and the S-word and middle fingers only appeared just a handful of times in the main game).
this is why i avoid seeing ratings. i DON'T want to be ashamed of being interested in stand powers(jojo), liking undertale, or liking cheesy games with cartoon monsters and givanium(garten of banban). because if i see a highly accurate ratings board say that a game contains certain content to be ashamed of, it's all over for that interest. even if i DO know what kind of a game pizza tower is and have seen most of the gameplay, hearing a summary of it's content straight from the experts makes me think, "these experts on what's appropriate think that pizza tower's content is actually edgy and inappropriate... was... WAS I ENJOYING A BAD GAME ALL THIS TIME?!?!"
this is the most accurate description of my fear of ratings that i've posted so far, IMO

It is well known that World 4-4 of Super Mario 3D Land contains an Easter egg whereby waiting for 30 seconds at the end of the level will cause a ghost to appear. However, a much more obscure variation of this Easter egg appears in Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker.
In the "Sinister Street Signs" level, spending 15 minutes without finishing the level will cause a single wispy ghost to emerge from a window, as seen in the footage.

Cover of a 2013 DVD release of a collection of episodes of the Donkey Kong Country cartoon series. Note that the Donkey Kong model used for these covers is unique and does not actually appear in the show; the model used in the show does not have individual hairs visible in his fur and is instead merely covered with a flat texture.

One of the sections of "The Dirty Tricks of Major Burrows" mission of Gusty Garden Galaxy in Super Mario Galaxy revolves around making a giant worm travel through three giant apples to create a bridge to a Launch Star.
The worm's head is only seen very briefly as it bursts out from one apple and into the next, with the only time it can be examined closely being the end, where it is sticking out of the final apple. At that point, the worm simply has a slow idle animation.
Interestingly, the worm is actually in an "eating" animation prior to this that is nearly impossible to see because it ends by the time the worm can be examined closely. By using external tools to move the camera into an apple, we can see the worm munching the apple while inside.

OK i just realized something
>it costs money for many quality AI art software
>most art commissions also cost money- and sometimes less than a technologically advanced neural network service.
>most AI art is basically asking the program to make something that's on your mind(IE; shantae as a cowgirl, mario eating mac and cheese, ETC.)
>and that's EXACTLY what commissions are about.
so please recognize that AI art has inherent creative flaws, and support your local artist by requesting commissions today.

Stained glass windows on the ceiling of the Nintendo Super Star Store at in Universal Epic Universe at the Universal Orlando theme park.
Note that while the idea of Mario, a Super Mushroom and a Fire Flower being depicted as constellations in the sky was first seen in Mario Party 9, the actual configurations of the stars here do not match up with the ones in that game.
